Dirk laughed quietly "chill, dont worry I'll help you" he leaned across to get the mouse then clicked the 'file' option "since it's a new document you'll want to pick the place to save it, so click 'save as'" he clicked the aforementioned button "now you pick a place to put it" he glanced at him, at close quarters you could almost smell the sea on him, along with wood shavings and a hint of motor oil

'You could call it a condition, I get a pain every now and then telling me I'm a little closer. Its nothing to worry about, but all the same please don't go gossiping.' Never squeezed tiny droplets of water out of his pony tail, 'I feel like one of those damned fish people now.' He said evaluating her reaction.

Quaint shrugged, 'you can work on it in detention then, along with writing down all known meanings of a teachers teach, students listen.'

She raised an eyebrow and laughed "fish people? What?" she looked him over, fakin concern in her face like she was worrying about his mind

'Yeah merpeople.' Never said off handedly, 'you know, they're all in those pathetic movies like Aquamarine. Splash a bit of water on them and they magical spring a fish tail.' He gave her a look, 'you didn't think I was one, did you?' He laughed unsteadily getting to his feet.

She smiled and stood up with him "of corse not, that would be stupid" she laughed and looked down at her foot, Mituni had found his way to her and was purring against her ankle

Ferris blushed, biting his lip as he tried to take in the instructions given to him. He watched with hidden appreciation and wonder as Dirk showed him what to do. He could smell the male, since they were so close, and it was a nice smell. He breathed it in slowly, quietly, sorting each factor of the scent. It wasn't like most guys, who wore overly fragrant cologne, or like most girls, who sprayed themselves with far too much perfume. It was a natural, calming, pleasant aroma, one that smelled of the ocean breeze mixed with freshly cut wood and a slight hint of gasoline. Jester decided he liked it, though he felt a little odd about the idea. When he finally noticed Dirk's glance, his cheeks lit up once more, and he averted his aqua orbs immediately. "Th-thanks...for helping me. I would never have figured it out by myself..." He murmured softly, not looking at the man he was speaking to.

Izzy looked at Quaint and rolled his eyes. "You're not the boss of me and you never will be so you might as well shut up."

Dirk smiled and pulled away "your most welcome sweet stuff" he ruffled his hair and leaned back in his chair, looking at the screen

Ferris blushed darker, for once not objecting at the pet-name or the affectionate gesture. It was...kind of nice, actually. What the hell am I thinking?! He scolded himself, cheeks flaring a bright crimson. He risked a glance at Dirk, and then looked at his computer screen again. But...my heart keeps beating so fast... A small smile involuntary fell across his lips, hand clutching his chest. He slowly moved it to the mouse, feeling the warmth from Dirk's hand to be still present. He moved the pointer to the exit button in the upper right-hand corner, closing the document before opening up a game of solitaire to ease his mind.

Dirk had finished a good chunk of his work but essays weren't his strong point, he eventually got bored and started playing freecell, it was fairly calming
