Dirk leaned casually on his desk "so now that we've got a whole gang we better get started, I bags being the talking dog" he got out his laptop and turned it on, he had refused a school laptop and had made improvements to a laptop he had bought himself, when he noticed the boy not looking at him he raised an eyebrow "wow, if you react that strongly to sweetcheeks what would you do if I actually flirted with you?"

Ferris felt his cheeks heat up again, and he immediately turned away, taking another sheet of paper and a pen, preferring the old-fashioned way of completing assignments over using those...irritatingly confusing computers. Truth be told, he only learned the basics, which was how to open up the internet along with documents and turning the cursed thing on and off. That's why he was a bit exasperated when Lara had asked for his help. He wasn't the best person to give advice about technology. In fact, he had a very standard, simple flip-phone, and that was just about it.

In response to Dirk, Jester replied, "I really would rather you refrain from being so...affectionate..." He began, frowning slightly. "...as I'm not interested in any serious relationships...especially with others of my gender." From how he reacted to the remark, he was hating himself. It was embarrassing, and he liked to think he was certain about his sexuality, being straight, as he was brought up to be before running away from home.

(That straight line might be wavering. xP)

Dirk snorted and didn't look up from his computer "Alright then sweetheart, have any suggestions for this project?" he leaned back in his seat, very tempted to test out some pick-up lines to see his reaction

Max put his hands up to catch the bag, but his reflexes definitely weren't at their best. He missed and the bag conked him right in his forehead. Again.
He wrinkled his face in pain and leaned down to pick up the bag, setting it in it's proper position.
"I definitely need this now."

Ferris felt his eye twitch. D***it! Does this ****er ever shut up? He refrained from cursing or giving a snide remark. Ferris, you are a gentleman. Do not cuss. Do not yell. Do not freak out. You can do this. Even though it was himself he was talking to, he sincerely doubted the words running though his head. "Well, considering this is a writing project, we should come up with a list of topics and suggestions that we might add. After that, we should use the process of elimination, then write a rough draft, check it for any errors, and fix any aforementioned errors." Jester said all of this matter-of-factly, though he forced himself not to roll his eyes at the part about errors. The aqua-haired male hadn't made an error in English since he was six.

Dirk nodded and started typing at blinding speed, he had been typing for all of five seconds and he had a list of possible topics "what's this do for you Toots" he turned the screen towards him and suddenly a little text box for his auto-responder opened in the side of the screen

He turned around very slowly, deciding to ignore the nickname. Jester took the liberty of propping his elbows on Dirk's desk, eying the list with precision and speed. "What does it do for me? Well, in all honesty, I can write about any topic, really. Though, wouldn't it be more productive if the whole group were to decide? Democracy does tend to work nicely, in such situations." Eyes finally narrowing at the textbox in the corner, he made a 'hn' sound. "Whether this be a real person or not, I certainly do agree. Even I don't use such weak pet names on others. You should work on that." Sherlock peeped out of the coat pocket, staring at the screen with beady eyes, then plunged back inside. Ferris frowned as he heard a slight crinkling from one of his pockets, and he came to the conclusion that the ferret had found his stash of mints.
