Xander sat up and slowly stopped crying, "You... You won't hurt me?"

Dawn smiled, happy that she could stop him from crying, "No, I promise. Now please come out." Dawn put her hand out.

Xander started to walk towards her.

Dawn smiled, her smile so gorgeous, "That's it." She backed up so he could have space.

Xander came as close as the river, but didn't go any further.

At Aster's silence, Jonathan sighed and leaned against the couch. His hair gently brushing against her back and his legs stretched out under the coffee table. What am I doing? he thought as his emotions fell into turmoil and his eyes slipped shut. He rested there for a minute before getting up and grabbing one of his favorite books from the table and heading outside to read. He sat under a giant willow tree, letting it's drooping bows enclose him in a sphere of loneliness as he buried his mind deep within the pages of his book.

Aster woke up later and sat up, feeling much better. She looked around, but didn't see Johnathan. So she got up and began to explore the house.

Dawn giggled, "Cute, want to stay with us? So you can be safe." She smiled.
