You know how some people will tell you that their life is an open book? That they have no secrets? Yeah. Kriss isn't one of those people. She's just the opposite.

Kriss would never willingly open up to someone. Since Vallen's death {read history}, she's reverted back to the way she was before she'd met any of them. Cold, boxed in, and out of touch. She's begun to drink the blood of humans recklessly once again, an old habit that was supposedly calmed years ago by Zane. When hunting, she's a bit more outgoing and willing to use her gender to her advantage.

To strangers she will seem uptight, reserved, and even a bit aggressive. She shows resentment towards other vampires. She doesn't want to trust another, only to loose them in the end. She knows that he wouldn't want this for her, but she claims it's for the greater good. She suggests that others leave her be.

Before Vallen, Kriss was exactly as she is now. Occult, secluded, and a little snappy at times. She lived with group of vampires and other similar breeds. They were constantly hunted, and always on the run. Zane had found her first, and brought her to meet Diva and Vallen. Zane and Diva were his adopted parents.

They became best friends. Kriss fell in love with Vallen, and he almost did the same... Until he met Axel. That was the woman he chose to marry. But she was never resentful towards the girl. In fact, they became close friends. When she passed away, Kriss was devastated. Though she watched over the group, her spirit paying visits every so often.

Kriss and Vallen grew closer once again when Axel passed way, but he was always a bit more distant.

A few years passed, and there was an incident. A battle bigger and bloodier than they'd ever fought...

He died for her that day. He told her to run, don't look back. So she did.

And then came the scream. The one where she knew that it was over. The one that made her fall to her knees and cry, hurting for her best friend. Wishing she could have told him just how much she really loved him.

It was the hardest thing she'd ever had to do. To not turn back. That wasn't what he wanted her to do.

He meant everything to her. That family meant everything to her, and now they were gone.

Little Info: Starime has lived in the ocean her whole life, always wondering about life on land. She's never been to land before, but has always dreamed of it. She doesn't know she has a human form because her guardian keeps it a secret. The guardian, the woman who cared for her as a child, was an older mermaid. Bethany. She adopted Starime and treated her as her own daughter. Starime's parents are a touchy subject for Bethany, and she avoids talking about them as much as possible.
