"Move your knight over to that square and you'll have a checkmate," said Jinx. She looked over at her brother and stood. "You missed everything you should have been here for. Now I had to waste an entire afternoon because you were too busy to show up."

"Children!" Snapped Victor, turning his blazing gaze to his children. "Behave. We have guests here." He took his hand off Yandi's head and stood. "Jinx has been tricking me into a losing game."

Yandi stood but made no movement, she looked over at Niju with her blood red eyes.

Mako made a face at Jinx before saying, "I was merely doing as Father told me. Besides, I thought you wanted to spend time with him."

Niju waited, starting to get impatient with the man and his bickering children.

(Plot twist- what if Kaiiyen is Victor's wife, and the mother of. Jinx and Mako, and was really pretending to look after the castle for centuries?
I mean, yeah, I know having relationships between your own characters is kind of boring, but I don't know who would play Kaiiyen as well as I would, because... She is kind of me...)

Jinx shut her mouth before venom in the form of words could roll off her tongue. She glared at her brother for a moment, then said in a calmer tone, "why don't you help Father win a chess game." She looked down at Yandi, and reached down to pet her.

Victor rolled his eyes and settled back in his chair. He looked over at Niju and said, "my daughter and son. You should spend time with them. One will try to kill you."

Yandi purred a little nuzzling her hand, She enjoyed the attenchen. Even if she did have the power to turn human she rarely did And really she was not completely evil but still pretty insane.

"I think I'll decline that offer, thank you," Niju replied coldly with narrowing eyes.

Mako looked over at the chess board then back to his father, "I think Jinx has backed up into a corner on purpose. I'll do my best to help you out of it, but I'm not sure if it will help you at all."

The doors opened and Kaiiyen walked in, shedding her white feathers so black could show through. Her angelic glow slowly turned to dark purple; one of royalty and evil. Her white blonde hair stayed, however, a trademark she kept for centuries. She strode up the steps to Victor's throne with a certain elegance and confident she didn't display in front of the two princes at the other castle. It was all an act. She snapped a finger and made one of his chess pieces move. "Best move you can make." She said to Victor.

Victor smiled and took his wife's hand and kissed is lightly. "Kaiiyen, glad you could make it. Why don't you say hello to Prince Niju?" He said, turning his eyes to the prince. "I have a feeling you two know each other."

Niju's eyes widened as Kaiiyen walked in. He glared at her and asked, "Was anything that you told us the truth or where you just trying to come here the whole time?"

Mako raised his eyebrows at the move and stepped aside for his mother saying, "Nicely done, mother. Maybe you should teach Jinx a thing or two," he said with a grin.
