"Wasn't thinking?! When do you ever think, River?!" Zora had shifted back to avoid any... accidents. "I can't imagine what is going on in your little head to think it's okay to be among the other pack! Be it you stepped too close and they interfered on their own fault, as I'd dearly love to believe, or that you chose to contact them on your own accord. This is not acceptable nor is it a choice any sane person would make!"

[Lucy.]

River ground her teeth together in frustration.
"You think I don't think? I think a lot- in fact I think all the time! I think about how know obe around here seems to appreciate me or what I do for the pack and how no one ever cares for me or truly loves me me- whether it be for friendship or more than that. So if you think I don't think- you're dead wrong . I would get that out of your mind right now." And with that, River turned on her heel and went off into the woods, fighting off hot tears that threatened to pour out of her eyes


Carson , a little new to the territory, looked around and wondered where everybody was.
"Is anybody here?" She muttered to herself, kicking the dirt around with her feet. When she saw Clara come in the distance, she bounced over to get happily.
" is there something I can do ?"

Clara looked at Anoki and shook her head, not knowing what to do. She looked up and saw Carson bounding towards her. "Uh, not now, pup. I'm a bit put-out right now....

[Alcyone]

Anoki watched as a newcomer bounced up to Clara. Perfect. Unseen, he silently fell back within the cover of the trees. In his attempts to avoid punishment, he knew he was simply worsening it for himself. Currently, though, he didn't appear too concerned.

Zora almost seemed to smile despite her intense rage. She had been disagreed with again. This truth couldn't be ignored in the long run, even if it entertained her to see such fiery characters within her pack. Going to relieve the bulk of her anger, she set off back to the pack's camp.

[Lucy.]

Carson frowned , "Well, what shall we do then?"

River, dazed by her anger, wondered around the territory until she ended up on no-mans-land, next to a large cove like thing. She had never noticed it before, but it wasnt the time to wonder why. River sat down on one of the rocks, trying to sigh, but ending up letting out a pitiful sob. She hadn't realized she had started crying, but she had, it was going to stop for a whole. She pulled her legs up to her chest and layer her forehead on her knees so no one could see her face. Thank god the cove was tucked way back into the part of the forest where no one went. She didn't want anybody to see her like this.

Anoki lifted his gaze after walking a good distance. The events of the day played through his mind like a bad movie. He let out a heavy breath. All of the mistakes he made and they just seemed to keep coming. The sound of sobbing reached his ears, leading him to falter mid-step. When he slowly continued walking, he picked up a scent. "River?" With each hurried footfall he considered his actions, what he was doing. Boy, how he was in for a beating. When he reached the girl he sat down beside her. "Hey, what's wrong?" He asked in a gentle tone that had been before unheard. He had a caring expression, taking away from his usual intimidating appearance. Plenty of times he had come to the rescue of his crying sister, this was a similar ordeal, right?

Clara sighed. "Uh, pup, I have no clue. Maybe you could spar with Anoki. He needs practice." She chuckled to herself. Looking around, she was shocked to find he had disappeared. "Ugh, does he want to die? His little affair with River is going too far." She sighed. I'm going back to my house, pup. Wanna come? I don't ever have family over... anymore..." she turned around and padded back to her house, not waiting for an answer. Zora was right. Her sad little pack was falling apart. Maybe... maybe she wasn't cut out to be leader?

[Lucy.]

"I'm not a pup." She stayed simply, "I'm the same age as you," Despite the fact Carson was a little offended, she still followed Clara.

River heard her name, but didn't raise her head, even when she smelled Anokis scent and felt a prescience next to her. River scooted so her back was facing him, but still stayed in the same position.
"Go away. I want to be left one." She mumbled, still sniffling.

Clara looked back at her with a face that clearly said, "Do I look like I care?" and continued walking. When she got inside, she shifted back to a human and collapsed on the couch, eyeing her parent's death notice with a blank stare. "This pack... is not together. I'm not even sure what to do..."

Anoki frowned, looking around as he thought over what would be the correct action. "You're lying." He stated simply. "I have a younger sister, I know how you females work." he paused, letting his thoughts wander before he set a hand on River's shoulder. "Whether you tell me what's wrong or not, I'm staying here until you are no longer sad."
