River hesitated before responding
"Yes..."

Clara nodded. "I assumed so. I have a dangerous task for you, River. If you accept my task, you will be able to 'hang out' with Anoki whenever you two please. Do you care to know what the task is, River?"

[Alcyone]

Zora tilted her head, surprised by the question. She could do with stretching her legs and it had been awhile since she had voluntarily scouted with a member of the pack. "Oh why not?" she said with a bit of hesitation. No. She had to get over her idea of being so superior. Sure she held the title of alpha, but that didn't mean she couldn't walk among her pack as an equal. "And, for the record, you'll always be a bit of a pup. Which isn't a bad thing."

Anoki cleared his throat awkwardly and rubbed the back of his neck. "If you two are going to talk about me, perhaps I should leave?" He asked rather worriedly. With his current situation, he couldn't butt in and try to change the topic, he had to roll with it if he planned on regaining his alpha's respect.

[Lucy.]

River glanced nervously at Anoki, ignoring him and wondering if he knew what Clara was going to ask her at the same time. "I..I suppose so.."

[Moonskye]

Clara waved at Anoki. "Shusssh." Turning back to River, she began her proposal. "River. I know you're not very loyal to your pack. Maybe you enjoy it? I'm not sure. Do you enjoy being in your pack?"

Will blinked, but simply smiled. He nodded several times and trotted off into the forest, taking lead. He slowed down, forgetting for a second that a higher ranking was nearby. He sniffed the ground, but smelled a faint scent of River....and River pack? They were near the border but, this was to inside the Blank pack territory. 'Strange.....'

[Alcyone]

Anoki complained silently to himself, turning his gaze to the sky. How badly he wished to speak out, having a feeling of what Clara was getting at. The notion that he was treading on thin rope was still very clear to him.

Zora caught the scent too and her eyes narrowed. Back to her hot-headed self. "Pick up the pace." she barked to Will and started a moderately paced jog. She didn't want to come crashing in this time, a bit of investigating was necessary it appeared.

He lifted his head and chased agter her.'Ahhh, yes ma'am!' He was kinda of...happy to see she was back to normal. Kinda.

River nodded instead of saying anything this time. She knew if she said something she might second-guess herself, or not be able to say anything at all.

Zora slowed to a stop and paid direct attention to where her paws fell. They were dangerously near the town for being in wolf form. When she laid her eyes on the meeting that was happening in no man's land, directly outside of her territory's border, a glare fixated upon her eyes. She didn't make a sound and hoped dearly that Will wouldn't either. The trees and foliage covered her form as she, for once, waited, not bursting into instant aggression.

Anoki stilled for a moment, feeling as though someone or something was watching them. As soon as the feeling came, he dismissed it as his own paranoia, not wishing to draw attention.
