I nod and take the wallet slowly. I look inside and take out the money. I count it and split it between us. I hope he won't overspend. All I need are some clothes that fit, but if he just sees things he wants and buys them, he could be in real trouble. "Should we meet back here in thirty minutes?" I ask them both, hoping that will be enough time for everything. Once we have agreed on a time, I head for the nearest clothing shop that seems to fit my style. I don't look at the name I just walk in and begin browsing. I try stuff on and eventually decide on a pair of jeans a nice shade of blue, and a a long sleeved forest green shirt with light blue stripes on the ends of the sleeves. The sleeves fan out slightly at the wrists, and so does at the waist. On top of this a thin light blue hoodie. I buy them and duck into a hotel bathroom to change, stashing the pjs in the bag from the clothing store. I check my watch; twenty minutes left. Wow, I was so worried about the time I did it faster than I thought. I shrug and walk outside. I decide to be early and head back to the bench by the hospital.

Amanda took her phone back and thumbed through her contacts. She could call Hunter or Derik, but she didn't know if they were busy or not. She'd never bothered even looking at the other teachers schedules, she didn't think she'd ever need too. She decided to call Jennifer. Even though they were raised in different countries, they were still cousins, so she probably wouldn't mind taking a break from whatever she was doing to come and pick them up. She hit call, crossing her fingers and hoping the small amount of signal she had would hold up. 'Come on Jen, pick up the phone.' She muttered as it dialled.

Jennifer/Defence Teacher

Jennifer heard a ringing coming from her pocket and wasn't sure, what it was until she figured out, she had a phone. She picked it up and answered, seeing it was Amanda. Hi Amanda, what's up? She asked her. Jennifer knew that Amanda wouldn't call for no reason and she would especially not call her. Jennifer sat down on a nearby bench in the corridor she was in and waited for the news.

'Hi Jen. The kids are out of the hospital and we've got no way home.' Amanda cut straight to the point. 'Could you do us a favour and give us a lift?' She asked. 'Er, my keys are in the top drawer on the left of my bed.' She didn't know if Jennifer had a car, but she'd assumed her cousin could drive. She hoped she could anyway.'We're waiting down the Main Street a little way from the hospital. Down were all the clothes shops are.'

Jennifer/Defence Teacher

Jennifer smiled a little, hearing that the kids were okay but brightened up more when she got to drive. On my way! She said with a positive tone and hung up, not caring if it was rude. She was excited to get a mission. She ran up to Amanda's room and found the key with no effort. She ran down to the parking lot to find the dark-green Jeep she had always dreamt of. She tried the unlock button on the key but heard the noise coming from behind. She turned around to be disappointed by the small, silvery citroen. Sighing, she went to it and sat down. I guess, this'll do. she said to herself and started driving away. When she had arrived, she simply drove to the edge of the street, out of the way for others and went out to look for amanda and the kids. She waved at them to come as she saw them.

'Thanks, I owe you one.' Amanda said, standing up and walking over. 'The kids should be out in a bit, they wanted to get some clothes so they weren't wondering around in hospital pj's looking like they'd just escaped from the nut ward. How have you been?' She realised she hadn't seen much of her cousin that recently, everything had been a bit chaotic with the new students, then the attack.
