Fin grinned and lifted her shoulders into a shrug. "No problem. My feelings are much the same when it comes to those idiots." She agreed, instantly noticing the hint of sadness that flickered into his eyes when he mentioned running away. "I ran away too. It was shortly after we left Fiji. My parents started fighting and I couldn't take it anymore I was about nine." She admitted, running her left arm. It was the arm that had been bitten off by a shark. The fake arm was a high tech device that looked and worked like a regular arm, but she would never forget that day, or all the times she'd been stared at like she was a freak. She wasn't sure she wanted to tell Gabriel about her arm, and risk him looking at her like she had sprouted a second head.

Artemis nodded solemnly, guilt filling him. Let's just say we were both at fault. We should probably be getting back now. His eyes flickered towards where he'd left the humans and unease curled through him. He wasn't used to leaving Fin's side.

• She don't look good boss! FangedWater muttered, landing beside her. I dragged her further up the smooth marble bank of the shore of the huge lake and bit my lip, seeing her splinted ankle. "Why didn't I notice that before?!" I cursed myself silently. I ignored the boy for the time being, focusing my attention to the girl who obviously needed healing, fast. •

• FangedWater eyed the falcon through narrowed eyes, trying to determine weather it was a bird or dragon again. This bird or whatever was bigger but he wasn't sure if it was still a bird. He huffed and mulled over it, crossing his eyes and uncrossing them, tilting his head upside down then to the side. Yep it's definitely a bird! He concluded proudly after thoroughly looking Shriek over. He flew gracefully down the the falcon and talked out loud, his voice a deep high kind of dragon voice, "I'm so sorry that you're a bird, it much suck not being a dragon," He said this with all seriousness, his big brown eyes wide with pity. •

• I also tried to ignore FangedWater being...himself. I was embarrassed at his behavior but left it alone, there are more important things to attend to. I crouched beside the girl and took off the quickly made splint. I winced as I saw her turned ankle and knew it was broken. "Tanka harwar" I muttered, laying my hands on the girls ankle. A purple light glowed and untwisted the ankle, mending the bone beneath and the pain left the girls face, replaced by a peaceful smile. The room spun a little and I sat back, closing my eyes and holding my head in my hands to stop the dizziness. I told you that's what happens when you don't practice! FangedWater smirked like told-ya-so.•

» "Ahh.." I mutter, "I ran away as well.." I cough, not wanting to spill my whole life on her quite yet. I mean, i only just met her..I look up into her eyes again and lose track of the rest of the world around me. SNAP OUTTA IT DUDE! My mind screams and i blink, looking down at the ground and picking at a loose thread in my jeans. I clear my throat and look towards the sky where Horizon is descending. Hope you cooled down.. I laugh. She gives me a short, playful glare and trots over to me, nuzzling my arm. You of all people should know how...sensitive i am.. She says defensively. I laugh.

James was sitting on the other side of Dominique. He was about to do some CPR when the woman on the other side started to mess with her ankle. "What are you doing? You can't just-" he voice was cut short when he saw the strange light emit from her fingers and into Dominique's ankle. He could not comprehend any of this. James almost lost his lunch when he saw the ankle realign itself. He managed to keep his nausea under control. James did notice that the look of pain had gone away from Dominique's face. When the girl was done doing... whatever it was she doing, James quickly checked to see if Dominique was breathing. Not hearing any, James tilted the girls head back and actually started CPR this time. He put his lips on Dominique's and filled her lungs with his own air. He then started the chest compressions and started the process over. He was praying to god that she wouldn't die. James placed his lips once more on Dominique's and gave a large breath.

She gave him a faint grin and nodded slightly. “I miss them but… I’m glad I took off. If not I would have never met Artemis.” She smiled as he landed beside her, rubbing his muzzle with obvious affection. “When I found him, he was a scruffy little cub with a broken wing and a recently mangled leg. I turned all my attention towards saving his life; it took a while for me to realize that we had bonded.” She explained, and then glanced up at him with a blinding smile. She took a moment to study him. He was taller than her, at least six feet compared to her dainty four foot nine frame. He had an athletic build and dark brown hair that seemed like it made a habit of falling into his eyes quite often. His eyes were a startling blue that reminded her of a bright summer sky with a few wispy white fluff clouds. They were compelling eyes, almost hypnotizing. She felt heat creep into her cheeks and cleared her throat in embarrassment. She hadn’t meant to stare. “So, um… how did you meet Horizon?”

• "Oh dear..." I muttered, watching the boy attempt CPR on the girl. "I don't think there is much need for that boy," I called out softly. "It's just the effects of the magic, she'll start breathing very soon," I replied, rocking back on my ankles and standing up, my dizziness passed. I eyed the falcon and the bird and nodded, concluding that these two are bonders. •

• FangedWater shook his sadly. "I know what you're going through, denial is the first part. I can't possibly imagine how much your life sucks not being a dragon!" I repeated, his round eyes filling with sympathy and his tiny head shaking back and forth slowing. •

• "Be nice!" I scolded FangedWater, picking him up and placing him on my shoulders. I'm just stating the truth! He huffed, his wide eyes staring into mine. •

☄ Suddenly my frail body shudders and I hurl up what was left of the water in my lungs and the food in my stomach. I groan and brace myself for the pain to come stabbing at me but it doesn't...My eyes pop open wide and i look down and see me ankle is as good as new. Suddenly my eyes adjust to the poor light and i take in my surroundings. "Wha- How!?..." I stutter, a thousand questions and thoughts flowing through my mind. I notice I'm in a damp, dripping room with stalagmites projecting from the ceiling and a glassy lake at my feet. I'm dimly aware of James sitting beside me and a new face peering down at my own. ☄

Vincent didn't answer her comment, for he was absorbed in his own head, his usually sharp blue eyes clouded with unknown emotions. In his mind, a flashback had occurred bringing back painful memories of his childhood. "Vincent! Come look over here! There's tigers and bears in this exhibit!" A childish female voice rang in his head, the flashback revealing to him a tomboyish girl with unusual green eyes, almost like the purest emeralds. Vincent smiled to himself, The girl ran over to the said animals with a young blonde boy following after her, "Wow! They're pretty big. I've only seen them in books. They're... amazing." The young boy breathed, pressing his face against the glass of the tiger exhibit in the zoo, his piercing blue eyes filled with innocent curiosity and wonder. "Oh come on, Vincent! We have to see the raptors too. I hear they are actually going to bring one out!" The girl called out once more, beckoning with her hand as she disappeared around the corner. Once again the scene disappeared and another appeared, "Vincent! I'm so sorry, I have to go, he is here. Escape while you can-" The call of the girl, who's name was revealed to be Claudia, was lost in the shouts of voices.

Vincent blinked open his eccentric blue oculars, not realizing that Alec had gone in front of him while he was entranced by his nightmarish flashback. The sounds of a rushing stream caused him to snap out of his daze, "There's a stream a few feet away. Hopefully it is fresh." He muttered as he caught up with Alec, "Unfortunately, I used the last bit of bandage that I have, but I will think of something that is close." Vincent walked on ahead, scouting around the area cautiously. When there seemed to be no danger around, he stopped at the stream and knelt beside the cool water, "Finally." The German gave a slight huff as he removed his coat to reveal a nasty wound, which stung with possible infection, "Oh dear. This is much worse than I thought." He muttered as he gently splashed water on his shoulder, wincing as it stung.

James stopped and looked at the strange girl across from. He quite sure if he believed her or not, but when he looked back at Dominique he found that she was right. Dominique had started breathing again, though it was shallow. James slowly got up. Corin came and landed on his shoulder. He was saying things about this being a trap and that they had to leave. James Shushed the bird again and looked at the girl. "Would you please tell me what the heck is going on her?" James did not trust the girl and was a little skeptical. Corin was still nervous, which was easily noticeable by his ruffled feathers. James stared at the girl with a seriousness that demanded an answer.
