Cassia watched carefully at the edge of the room, eyeing the guards, the King, and his son. She watched the whole ordeal unfold, pausing to whisper a few key things to Sparrow. "The king of Avalon. Youngest prince, Prince Alexander, of Elyadon." She nodded, pointing out the major characters. The king knew her pretty well, as Cassia had reported to his highness with new from her network of spies many times. She had helped the two kingdoms dodge war from each other, catching and dealing with the rebel troublemakers. But this was something new. A rebel inside the palace? A rebel love story? Hah, it would never work. Those poor, unfortunate souls. They were never going to see each other again in their lives.

The father of the disgraced prince shook his head at his son, disgusted at the tears pouring into puddles on the floor. He sighed after his useless begging. "I am the king. You dare go against my words? I may be your father, but your duty as a prince comes first. You will never say you love that servant ever again. You will never see her ever again. She will never be in the country ever again. That waif has dishonored our family, offended all of us, including you, no matter how distracted you may have been in her petty looks. If you would like me to punish you as harshly as I wish, I shall have you killed. You are no longer my son, you are an embarrassment." he said, face stony and eyes stormy. He crossed his arms and leaned away from his son's bloodied face. "You shall be withheld in the East tower for inquiry, and your testimony shall be heard by these two." he waved his hand at the two figures, the clever Cassia and her unknown companion. No one in the court but the two kings knew who the nun really was. It was to be kept that way. "Take him away." The king turned from the dishonored prince, the guards dragging the young man out of the chamber.

Lucifen :: Eldest Princess's Maid :: Avalon

Lucifen sighed, realizing she had essentially asked Ethan the same question twice and had gotten the same answer. "It's getting dark out, we should be returning to the castle." She said. Lucifen stood and walked over to her horse, who was relaxing on the ground with her eyes half closed. At Lucifens command, she rose, and nuzzled her gently.

"Yeah I was, and it looked like you nearly fell, am I correct?" she said with a sweet voice.
She looked at him up and down. One hand was around her sword. Crystal wasn't for sure if she should trust this man or not.

Victor nodded "yea, I would have made it if I didn't slip, uh, I'm Victor by the way, substite for the Head Kniight Azure, until he gets back from the royal dinner" Victor stood up, and checked his quiver to be sure none of his arrows fell out "and may I know who I am speaking with?"

Arabella sat up with a jolt. She had slept for a little while, maybe a half an hour, maybe an hour. She wouldn't know until she found someone. She threw back the blankets and headed for Serena's room, thinking that was her best bet at finding her. She paused at her sisters door, dozens of thoughts flying through her mind, then knocked softly. "Rena?" she called softly, as she looked up and down the halls, seeing if anyone was coming.

((There's an opportunity for both of them. Kinda.))

Serena looked up when she heard her name being called. Even though it was soft, she could clearly hear it. She sat down on her bed, her bruised cheek facing the wall. She was ashamed of it, honestly, and didn't want anyone to see it. "Come in." she replied softly, looking down at her hands. The girl felt miserable, thinking it was her own fault she got slapped for speaking up. And Alexander got punished for it. If she had just kept her mouth shut, none of this would have happened, and therefore she would next time.

At the answer, Arabella opened the door and entered her sister's room. Serena was sitting there, looking for all the world like she had lost her kingdom. She thinks it's her fault Alexander got in trouble, Arabella thought biting her lip. She moved across the room and sat beside her, putting her arm around her sister's shoulders. "I know what you're thinking, I know that look," she said. "But it's not your fault Alexander lost his temper. You couldn't have controlled that. If I hadn't prodded him initially, he wouldn't have reacted so badly to you."

"No. It is all my fault." Serena replied softly, leaning against her sister as she hugged her. "I just should've stayed silent, like I used to do. Speaking my thoughts aloud only brings trouble and problems. I got into an argue with Kaleb because I did, and now I got hit. It's wrong to express feelings in public, or at least my feelings. It'll only cause problems and who knows how Kaleb's father will punish Alexander for it. I only made things worse for him..."
