Serena looked down at her hands as she heard Tristan speak to her. She remained silent for a moment, searching for the right words. "I just had to talk to somebody." she replied quietly, looking at Tristan for a moment. "And if you want to know where it was about. It was about the fact I'm probably unwanted by KC." she replied, soft though her tone was harsh.

His frown creased the corners of his lips. "Unwanted? No, Serena. You don't understand him. He's.. it's complicated, but we were talking just before dinner. He said, umm.. He cares for you, Rena." Where was the blasted food? Someone please help me out of this awkward situation.. "So, I suppose I'll be accompanying you back home. Tonight, right? Are you sure you don't want to stay until the morning?" The roads tended to be a lot more dangerous in the evening than during light.

Sparrow's mouth fell open into a slight "o" shape when she heard that there would be others. "The others?" she said hesitantly, but she did her best to banish her worries. She didn't usually play well with others, but she was willing to work on that in order to help the person who had done so much for her over the years. Without pursuing the subject further, she nodded at Cassia's suggestion. "I think I remember it," she said. Then, her face broke into a grin. It had been years since she had last seen Cassia, and she realized that this fact meant that Cassia hadn't had the opportunity to meet her new friend, her loyal companion Hawk. "You haven't met the latest edition to my little band of misfits," she said with a feral sort of grin, slipping out of the chapel doors. Sure enough, Hawk was waiting just outside of the doors for her, jumping up at the sight of her. "There's a good boy, Hawk," she said, crouching down and cupping Hawk's face in her hands before straightening up and looking back at Cassia. "Where is this tavern?"

Cassia's face lit up at the sight of Hawk, delight causing the corners of her mouth to lift ever slightly. "He's gorgeous." she said, reaching down and patting Sparrow's companion between the ears. As she straightened, she leaned over to pick up her basket of clothes from one of the closer pews that she had set down earlier. She threaded the handle of the woven basket onto her right arm, descending from the church steps. The nun beckoned for Sparrow and Hawk to follow, at the same time slipping her bible and rosary beads from her sleeve and into the basket. "The tavern is just down the road, that building there with the wooden sign." she said as they drew closer, indicating with a pointed finger. The sign read Oakden's Branch, the wooden building built sturdily at the bottom of a hill, in a sort of niche. A thick patch of trees surrounded the two-story cottage, making the place feel a bit eery but secure at the same time. "To the tavern we go." she said, leading the way towards Oakden's Branch.
