Evan's new senses allowed her to hear the song that Mae was singing. But she ignored it, focusing on the sounds of wildlife, wanting to get some meat into her stomach.

Dug smiled as he watched Evan. He had liked the new senses at first, but then They- He stopped thinking about it, wiping the grimace off his face.

Mae walked back to the way she had came and walked past the two quietly and sadly.

Evan watched the girl pass, "Why so sad?" She asked aloud, still sniffing the breeze for any good scents.

Dug stared off into space, and zoned out, as he listened.

Mae looked up and shook her head “I'm fine.. Really..” She lowered her head again and continued walking.

Evan smiled softly, taking Dug's hand. She had located a herd of deer. "Okay then," She told the girl. She then turned to Dug, "Five miles to our east. You hungry?"

Dug smiled back, "Considering what we've been through, yes." He said, coming back to reality.

Mae shifted into tan wolf with white markings and hazel eyes and started running quicker trying to get as far way as possible.

Evan grinned widely, then her smile faded, "I'm gonna have to shift, won't I?"
