Sarah went to Will's cabin to get paper and a quill pen. She quickly wrote what he'd asked her to say then folded it and sealed it with wax.

Sarah placed the letter in his hand gingerly amd stepped away shyly.

Will muttered something grumpily and crumpled up the map he'd been working on. He tossed the ruined parchment into the tall waves rocking the ship and glared at the sea darkly.
