"Do you mind if I come with you? I need to get my sword resharpened also, and it is always nice to have company."

"why don't you take his sword and go to the blacksmith while I get the food?"

River
"Sure, let's hope he doesn't kill me when he sees me with his sword," I chuckled and took the sword. "Meet back here in an hour?"

She nodded and hurried off to finish her list.

River
I walked down the street to the only blacksmith. "Hello doll baby," He slurred. 'Oh, god. He must have been drinking,' I thought. "Can you resharpen these two swords?" I asked him politely. "What a pretty girl like you doing with swords?" He asked with a smirk. "You don't need to know my personal life, just sharpen the swords. How much is it?" He glared at me, "Ten." I rolled my eyes. How could anyone be that expensive? "Fine, fix the swords, get the money." I handed over two swords.

His apprentice appeared from the back room. He offered River a shy smile then took the swords from the blacksmith and returned to the back room.

"Thank you," I called. At least he had some decency. I went outside to the shop right across the street and got some rum. Then I looked over and saw the most gorgeous dress. I smiled at when I used to wear dresses. My hand bushed over the soft fabric. Those were the memories. The lady came up to me and told me it was fifteen dollars. "Thank you, but I'll pass. I don't have that kind of money anymore." I smiled and went back into the shop. Hopefully the swords were done.

The apprentice was waiting for her. The swords were wrapped up in leather so they would be easy to carry.

"Thank you so much, I greatly appreciate it." I payed him and left without another word. I looked at the dress one last time before I went back to the meeting place.
