Adonis smiled down at his mate, “Very very true.” Then he added in a whisper for her ears alone, “And I know my future’s looking better already.” He looked over as Mercy spoke and nodded with a grin, “That is also very true, and I don’t know about you people, but I’m starved.” He stepped up the stairs to the front door and opened it, the smell of already cooking breakfast greeting him as he walked inside, making his empty stomach lurch in anticipation.
Draven chuckled, “I don’t know, German Style Pancakes in Germany are pretty hard to beat.” He grinned as he followed after them, glad the earlier tensions and fears had dissipated from the pack.
Althaia stepped out of the kitchen when she heard the door open and she smiled in relief when she saw her brother alive and unscathed. She cared about the rest of the pack as well, but had been mostly concerned about him. She stepped over and hugged Adonis saying, “I’m glad you’re all okay.”
