Mercy looked up in amazement at Landry's question never really expecting anyone to ask that question as no one really gave a thought about it. Her lips curled up in amusement and pride as her voice turned soft with the memory,"My Ma and Pa, they worked real hard on it together. It was a bonding thing for them as newly mated. My Pa use to tell me stories about how they chased off the pack from helping just because it was their thing. Of course it was built for the pack and after it was built everyone lived there." Her lips quivered then went away as the memory faded.
Angel leaned against her mate as they walked enjoying his strong shoulder which she used as a perch for her head. She listened in to Mercy's words and felt a pang. That was at a time when their mothers and fathers had been close. Her mother had always talked about those days and how she missed them. What ever truly split the families apart was a mystery but what had split Mercy and her apart..was the death of her mother.
Raven surprised by his question looked more closely at the cabin following Landry's gaze. She had never really thought about their new home or really looked at it. She didn't know why but she felt guilty for that as if the cabin was scolding her for not paying attention to it.
