Draven checked on Mercy and when he saw her start to get to her feet he took off after the brute he'd thrown, not about to just let him get away or come back from behind but a bolt in his shoulder that burrowed itself deeply into the bone knocked him to the ground with a yelp.
The wolf snarled in rage as he was dragged and then thrown from his prey, not really caring about the chunk of flesh torn from his scruff and the blood now soaking his fur. He felt a body break his momentum and a bone break under his weight, there was a resulting cry of pain and a hiss as the body struggled under him. He growled and got to his feet, pinning the body beneath him. But then he realized it was a human. He was not supposed to attack humans, his master had even been around this one and those other two peacefully so he backed off with a growl, but things seemed wrong and he didn't understand so he didn't turn his back on the humans.
Adonis was trying to keep out of the line of fire and figure out where the arrows were coming from but then suddenly he heard Angel shout and she took off. The rest seemed to happen in slow motion as he watched Raven running to protect Mercy and Angel doing the same but from Raven. He tried to bark her name out to get her attention, knowing his legs wouldn't get him there fast enough even though they were already moving. It didn't work though, she hadn't heard him and he watched in horror as his mate slammed into the other fae and then snapped her neck. It only got worse from there as Angel actually started to eat Raven but just as he was getting to her she snapped out of it and screamed for him but he was already there. "I'm here, I'm here," he said quickly as he moved between her and the body, praying no one saw, "This is not your fault, you were trying to protect Mercy." He nudged her gently with his head towards the trees, "We have to get out of the line of fire, come on." The adrenaline of the moment totally kept him from realizing there were already two arrows sticking out of his side, all he cared about in the moment was getting her away from Raven's body and away from the arrows. "It was the traps or the brute, no one knows. Come on." He looked up and saw Corbin sneaking around the clearing, "Corbin's got an idea where they are. We can follow him and use that aggression on the Hunters."
Corbin shrunk away from the clearing, keeping into the trees and shadows. But as he moved he watched the arrows, and followed their direction. Keeping in the shadows he snuck around the clearing, keeping his gaze on the direction the arrows were coming from. He wasn't a fighter but he knew if he were able to get a sneak attack in he could at least do some damage, do something to help for once instead of be taken care of. He got close to the ground when he saw the pair of Hunters just ahead. He had to attack but he knew with the two of them he'd be dead before he did much of anything. As much as he hated to do nothing he knew to do something useful he had to wait for a better moment to make his move.
Theron shot his crossbow off quickly, the rabid succession almost as fast as Aura's bow, showing the obviousness of how often he'd used the weapon. The bolts might not kill any of them, but every bit of damage it did was a major plus. He growled when he saw his wolf hesitate and back away from the ex-Hunters. He'd never expected training the brute to not harm humans would be so detrimental, but he was sure as soon as Zane showed aggression towards the wolf he'd protect himself. However he noticed the large brute that had been in the middle with the Alpha going after his wolf so he made sure to put a bolt right in his shoulder. Grinning as the force of it into the bone knocked him to the ground. He fired one more off aimed at the white Alpha, her fur practically a target, then reached for another and growled, "I'm out." He grabbed his axe in one hand and double bladed knife in the other. But he would wait till she finished her arrows off so he didn't get in her way.

But in the corner, at the cold
hour of dawn, sat the poor girl, with
rosy cheeks and with a smiling mouth,
leaning against the wall--frozen to
death on the last evening of the old
year. Stiff and stark sat the child
there with her matches, of which
one bundle had been burnt.
"She wanted to warm herself,"
people said. No one had the
slightest suspicion of what
beautiful things she had seen;
no one even dreamed of the
splendor in which, with her
grandmother she had entered
on the joys of a new year.
