Corbin glanced back at J-J and sighed softly at her expression. He shifted and stepped over to her to gently remove the rock from her paw. "Come on," he said as he got to his feet, "we can't do anything here." He glanced at the humans, "And I don't want to risk there being others nearby while Cronos is alone. We can go back to the cabin, make sure the boy is safe, get her paw fixed up, and then get a place ready for them to bring her when they come back." He started back for the cabin still on two feet knowing it would be easier for her to walk in human form.

J-J yelped and shifted back, the pain now subtle. She held on to Corbin, trying to keep her balance. "Thank you love." She whispered.

Corbin wrapped an arm around her waist to support her a bit and said with a smile, "No problem." He watched Althaia and Shaun run past them to the cabin, both running errands to help Adonis with Angel.

J-J gently kissed his cheek, "You really are the best thing in my life right now." She smiled and kept hobbling, also watching Shaun and Althaia.

Corbin smiled and kissed her temple in reply and said, "Same to you, Love." He headed up the stairs and into the cabin then led her towards the bathroom so he could clean and wrap her wound.

J-J stumbled over the to the toilet and sat on it (it's closed). She then removed her shoe and let Corbin help her. It hurt but was now clean.

Aura hearing his words looked at him in disbelief,"Excuse me? We just set up base here and NOW you and your worthless organization want to come in saying we aren't doing our jobs? Your 'group' was suppose to already have this place cleared before I even got here! So if you want to sit there and diss on my hunters take your stuck up rear and don't let the door hit it on the way out." She snapped throwing her arm out to point at the door behind him her face livid. She knew her eyes were almost spitting fire.

Corbin released her once she was seated then started to look for some gauze and other first aid stuff. He still didn't know much of this place so it took a minute of digging around in the cabinets before he found it. He then knelt in front of her and proceeded to clean, disinfect, then wrap the wound. "Might want to have Adonis redo this if he gets the chance later, I'm not exactly a healer."

Rubi raised her gaze to his, her own steady and walls were built, keeping her emotions severed from the outside, "I lose control," She said to Theron quietly, her voice no higher than a whisper, "I'll kill everything with a beating heart, with no mercy...Including fellow hunters." She finished, shaking her head a few times which just made her heavy black hair swish and fly into her face heavily, concealing her eyes which were beginning to harden and turn colder, cracking like ice under pressure.

Theron's gaze didn't waver from her face as she spoke, he kept his eyes locked on hers until she broke the gaze and he took another slow drink from his mug before saying, "Control is overrated. You just need a fellow hunter that has the power to restrain you after you end the lives of the miserable mutts."
