Chance's eyes filled with tears. All she had ever known was to be guarded and push others away. She stepped away from Cowen with her head down. "I was right." she said softly thinking about what she had said about people hurting their 'friends'

"What's that supposed to mean?"

Chance turned quietly and walked to the lobby and retreated to her corner. She sat there with her face covered by her hair and her knees tucked to her chest.

"I guess I was right." I say my eyes starting to well up but my face still hard. Walk back to my room and slam the door shut.

Soldier sighed when he saw his sister in the corner. He knew she didn't handle emotional pain well.

I conjure my sword, the blade black but glowed white, and start to practice cuts and thrusts in the air.

Chance sobbed softly and slapped Soldier when he tried to comfort her.

Soldier sighed and went to Cowen's room. He knocked on the door.

I yank the door open and point the sword at Soldier's throat, "What the h*ll do you want?" I ask each word a breath.

Soldier stared at Cowen calmly. "look, my sister loves you she just doesn't know how to show it and the fact that she hasnt eaten in three days has gotten less then three hours of in the last seventy hours and now this could seriously hurt her."

"it's obvious that she needs you more than me so why don't you just leave me alone." I say closing the door.
