If mom hadn't been there I don't even want to know what that one guy would have done. On our way home mom told me everything. She also told me to never sing where you, dad, or any of the servants could hear me so I never did. That day you heard me I thought you weren't even home." By this time she had collapsed to the ground. She had wrapped her arms around her knees making herself go into a ball.
Andre was frozen a hand in the air towards his sister as he pieced everything together. He remembered now; he had gone on a hunt with his father and the male servants but realized halfway he had left behind his good arrows. He had told his father he'd be back and went back to the castle alone. He had left his good arrows in his room and was heading there when he started thinking how at least he still had the hunts with his father untainted by his sister. Everything else he loved seemed to have been and like that his thoughts went to how maybe his life would be better without her. He was taking a shortcut to his room when he suddenly heard singing. It stopped him in his tracks and suddenly he had started seeing red and when he found the singer he snapped.
He shook his head to force himself away from the dark memory that was coming and he knelt down to his sister. His head hurt a little but he also felt a weight off his shoulders. It wasn't all his fault. "Well, that explains why there have been very few servents masculins in the palace." he said lightly, trying to get a smile from his sister as he placed a hand on her back in comfort.
