Alice took the vile carefully. She undid the lid and took a small sip. A rush of warmth ran through her body, its hard to describe. Kind of warm and tingly. She blinked a few times to clear her vision. She looked at the vile again wanting more but she closed it and handed it back to Linkheart.
"Yup. It's addictive all right" She said the scent still hanging in the air.

Linkheart took the vile and tucked it back in his tunic. He tried to ignore the metallic smell of blood in the air, it brought back unsavory memories. 'Better?' He asked.

Alice nodded.
"Much. How long will it last?" She asked wondering how long it would be until she had to hunt again.

Linkheart shrugged. 'I don't know your going to have to ask Azel.' He said.
Zaura leaned against the wall. 'Well that was lucky...'

Azel clicked her fingers. 'Yes! It makes perfect sense. That is why Quaint was showing odd behavior, he has been in search of this daemon for eons.' She dashed over to the book reading the passage, she tilted her head looking at Luxor's picture. 'I knew I'd seen this genetic code before. My own brother was after him as well...' Sorrow turned the elf's melodious voice heavy, even Never's eyes softened. She looked directly at Vicky. 'I'm sorry.'
'Sorry for what!? What's happening to her!!' Never piped up wondering what was going on.
'Your changing Vicky, it's already started.'

"I would of gotten out before I chomped any one" she said calmly un- tieing her hair.
"Any one have a brush?" She asked running her fingers through her hair trying to get out some of the nots.

Vicky stared at her a second "I know" she said quietly "I worked that out for myself, I'm not stupid" she looked at the book again "theres a potion here, but its complicated and takes a few hours to make" she frowned "some of the ingredients are poisonus, why would it be in the potion? I have to drink it, why would it try to poison me?" she shook her head slightly

Zaura reached into the top of Linkheart's tunic and took out a beautifully engraved comb. 'He keeps one on his person at all times.'
'Hay, I have hands.' Linkheart complained, he didn't mind Zaura entering his perosnal space but still.

'No of cause your not.' Azel said keeping all emotion out of her voice and reading the list of ingredients
'Hm, could be worse. Complicated potions are my specialty.' She stared at Vicky, seeing her flustered face. 'It is poisoning your body to kill the mutation.'
'Why not just give her the stuff you gave me when the were wolf bit me?' He asked holding his chest. He was trying to mask the worry in his voice.
'It is too late, that must be administered in the first 5 minutes of infection.' Azel sighed rubbing the side of her face.

Vicky looked at the potion on the paper, suspition touching her face "effective to first kill..." she read at the top of the potion formula "so they expect me to kill someone? but I wont! even as a demon I just wouldnt..." she trailed off and looked out the window "did you see that?!"
