"Why should I try? She doesn't even pretend to attempt to understand me. When I tell her not to go after me, it's because I'd rather she didn't die! Anyway, it's better this way. I'm going back to the Pack. If she goes with me, they will execute her."

"You just don't get it. She wants to die. So if she follows you, it's not only because she wants to protect you, it's also because she sees this as a chance to die. And she actually tries not to like you, not to understand you, because she doesn't want to totally guilt out if she fails protecting you."

"She's suicidal and you let her live on her own? If she has this many mental problems she should be in a hospital, not a house!"

"Try to understand what I'm trying to tell you. Phil is dead, which means you're the only one who's actually able to make her forget about committing suicide, don't you see that? If you two would go to Earth and stay together, she would stop trying to kill herself."

"And yet we still wouldn't end up together. We're too different. Not sure if you noticed or not, but we argue. A lot. That's not really a good basis for a long-term friendship."

"Arguing's important for friendships. If you never argue with your friends, you definitely do something wrong. And Dina's quite unnerved at the moment, she needs some time to get normal again, that doesn't mean anything. I've known her for 500 years, believe me, you two would end up together. As I said, she just needs some time to get normal again."

"We haven't had a single conversation, barring the first, where we haven't had an argument over something. That's not the way friends work."

"You know her for less than a week, and I can't imagine you talked a lot in that time. It won't take more than a few days at her family's castle for her to get normal again. Earth is the only place she never entered with Phil, which means there aren't many things which remind her of him. But here, wherever she looks, there are memories which she tries to push aside, but it doesn't work. Give her some time to get normal again."

"We don't have time though," Zeke sighed, thinking back to what they had been discussing beforehand. "It's entirely likely that Shadowstalkers may be planning an invasion of everywhere."

"Then use the tiny bit of time we still have. Go after her, calm her down and maybe she's willing to rest at the cabin if you promise to stay with her. And tomorrow you both go to Earth", Mûdrhun replied calmly.
