A flash of light and he was standing beside her, not like that was a big deal. He sighed "Yeah well, she was two weeks old. It doesn't matter, I just wish that trial would have ended differently..."

Erin jumped and nearly tripped over her own feet. quickly she regained her balance though and smiled at him. "just keep her fondly in your memory," Erin murmured.

[Yawë]

He grabbed her hand scared she would fall. "I wish I could sweetheart." He blushed, he called everyone sweetheart, a thousand years ago that was fine. Not anymore, he got punched in the face last time he said it.

[Jubunu]

Jubilee grinned and looked down, watching the dirt pass by as they walked at a comfortable speed. "Hmm, well, there are a few. Needles, guns and..." Her voice drifted to a whisper and she glanced up at Cassie. She grinned sheepishly, knowing that Cassie already knew her third fear- and coincidentally her top fear.

Erin blushed a red she was pretty sure was close to crimson and quickly pulled her hand away. she took a few steps away from him and shuffled her feet, that was awkward, she thought. she clasped her hands behind her back and regarded Shine carefully. she was pretty sure he meant no harm by calling her that and she had been caught off guard by the comment. Realizing she had let the silence go on for a good twenty seconds or more she blushed again and smiled sheepishly at him trying desparately to come up with something to say.

He let go of her hand and put his arms behind his head "A thousand years ago you called everybody sweetheart... I forgot, it ain't the same anymore. I wish it was.. No body really messed with me or hated me. Sorry. I didn't mean too..."

"oh," Erin stiffled a giggle and smiled at him, stepping closer again. "i forgot you'd been around that long. no harm done," finally it dawned on her why he had grabbed her hand. "thanks for trying to catch me," she grinned, her eyes twinkling and her friendly and playful spirit back.

He managed a smile and shrugged "No problem." His smile faded and he looked around quickly, something wasn't right.

"what's wrong?" Erin asked, noticing the look on his face. she glanced around the room but nothing seemed out of the ordinary, although how would she know? she had never really looked closely before.

He listened and concentrated as much as he could hearing the crackling of a fire. He grabbed Erin and started to rub putting her by the ladder "Climb up and if I'm not there in three minutes or if you hear a boom, run." He ran towards the back. Keep gunpowder near the fireplace they said. Nothing bad would happen they said.
