Cassie smiled and followed after her. "So Jubilee. Tell me about yourself. I mean what are your likes dislikes." Cassie giggled hoping not to sound all rude for asking. "That is if you don't mind me asking. "

Jubilee grinned and looked down, watching the dirt pass by as they walked at a comfortable speed. "Hmm, well, there are a few. Needles, guns and..." Her voice drifted to a whisper and she glanced up at Cassie. She grinned sheepishly, knowing that Cassie already knew her third fear- and coincidentally her top fear.

(soooo sorry! i'm a bit underground in school work, AP classes maybe weren't the best idea when you plan to have free time. i was lucky today to have only homework from three classes D= haha i'll keep trying to get on as often as possible =) )
Erin snapped out of her trance-like state and half stood, planning on following Shine. but then doubt started to creep in her mind, maybe he just wanted time alone? she thought. she remained in a crouched position, unsure what to say and how she could offer comfort to a thing she had no idea what must be like. a frown creased her usually smiling face and she looked down at the floor. "i'm sorry," she murmured. "that must have been horrible."

It didn't take Lyran long to reach the foot of the mountain. He landed on a sharp rocky outcropping and folded his wings to look around. Jubilee had said to follow the larger boulders to a ledge and then follow the ledge to the alcove where her house was. belatedly he realized he hadn't been watching the rocks, more the countryside and the red-orange sun making it's slow process along the sky. he glanced behind him looking for the rocky path.

He walked into the fog and let himself fog. He didn't want too care, and he wasn't going too. Nothing he could do would change what had been his fault.

(i got on twice in one day! =D it's a record on a week day since school started haha)
Erin took a few steps forward, still unsure but determined now. "Shine?" her voice was so quiet she wasn't sure he had heard her so she said his name again. "Shine, you can't blame yourself for something that couldn't have been helped," she spoke softly, she had lost his figure in the fog but she stepped into it anyways.

He sat against a book case "I could have... If I was fast enough. There would be a chance of her being here with me now. But I wasn't. I failed her..." he wrapped his arms around his knees and watched the fog.

"yet you still can't blame yourself. it wasn't your fault the earthquake happened at that exact second," Erin soothed. "what good can blaming yourself do?" she stopped wandering in the fog and just stood silently in place, waiting for his answer.

He simply sat there. "If I was faster, and not a klutz, she wouldn't have called out for help with hope of me being there. He sighed and walked"

Erin quietly snorted to herself, who wasn't a klutz at the most inconvenient time in the world? "Shine, what has happened has happened, there is nothing we can do about it now." Erin paused and took a breath hoping this came out right, "the best thing anyone can do for the dead is to remember them and to continue on because that is what they would have wanted." she stopped, there was so much she could say but the words just wouldn't form.
