Aurora turned her head up towards Shadow's voice. "I don't know if I should be comforted by what you said or not..." one corner of her mouth pulled up a bit in a smirk.

Shadow chuckled " I'm not sure either."

Aurora stretched a bit and shook her head, her golden hair swishing around her torso.

Shadow smiled and chuckled softly.

"I need to get out of these clothes..." Aurora told Shadow quietly, not feeling embarrassed about needing to tell him anything. "Can we go back to the tent so I can change?" she asked him, slowly sitting up and gently feeling her clothes; they were close to drenched in the black liquid and smelled quite rancid.

Shadow nodded " of course." He said, taking her hand.

Aurora smiled faintly and started to head back to the tent, their home.

Aurora listened to their foot steps, quiet and muffled in the grass and dead leaves littering the forest floor. "Do you think anyone noticed that we were gone for so long?" she asked in a whisper.
