"How? It's the middle of the day?" He asked.
"That's where I come in." Claire said as she opened the door, then shut it quietly behind her.
Demitri looked at the Mage with a pang in his heart. Claire was back, his mother gone again.
"I'm sorry Hawke, she sent you her love, and vowed to watch over all of you." She said. She looked at Alese and smiled. "They are absolutely beautiful Alese. You did well."

Crowe looked back as Aela came up. Her dark eyes told him a lot. "Don't give in on him yet. He needs you."
"I'm a fool." She said quietly. "You were right, it never was him."
"No I was wrong. Hiro is still there, but he needs a hand to pull him out of his darkness. Bring him to the light. He cares for you. He had so many chances to kill you but he hasn't. He needs you Aela. Don't abandon him yet. Help him control it."
Aela looked at Crowe and nodded before hugging him. "I wish things could be normal... I miss Alice and Jason... I miss Hiro.. " she choked out as she started to cry. Crowe looked down at her and started to rock her. "I know.. I know... Get some sleep. I'll watch over him for a few hours. " he said softly. Aela nodded and walked to her room while he went to the cellar, his heart in pain.

Caleb rested a hand on Claire's shoulder and looked at Dmitri. "We'll be fine. And I'll make sure she's safe. Just take care of your family"

Alese narrowed her eyes looking Caleb over, she knew something was wrong with him.
She then looked at Claire and smoked slightly. "Thank you Claire"

Hiros eyes slowly opened but they were a dead grey. He was still fast asleep but it didn't stop his body from moving. His eyes slowly moved around but saw nothing.
'Aela, what have I done?'

"Not what he's upset about." Claire said. "and I'll make sure he's alright. Though, I need you to do me a favor."
Demitri nodded. "Of course."
"Keep Tanya away. Distract her for a few hours after sunset and all will be well."
Demitri nodded softly "Not as simple but alright. I think I can drive her back for awhile. "
CLaire smiled and looked at the baby boy. "Give them a proper good bye. I'll be outside"

Crowe headed downstairs, noticing Hiros eyes open. "Relax.. rest. Aela is exhausted, she'll be back in a few hours." he said as he sat down. "Dont take it too hard...she didn't mean any of it. She still cares for you."

Caleb shook his head and walked to the door "demitri, I'm proud of you. Just...keep them safe" he calmly left the room without another word and let his hair out of it's braid. He'd never been one for touching goodbyes, that wasn't how he grew up or what he ever got used to.
His mind was focused in what he had to do now. 'I'll kill anyone who tries getting in my way from this point on. My first daughter has got to be saved while I can still be here to help her. '

Alese curled back up in the bed and looked at her daughter. Something was going on but she had no idea what.
The boy whimpered and reached out for Caleb with one hand while the other clung to his fathers shirt.

Hiros dead looking eyes stopped on crowd before closing again. His face was still scarred from Tanya throwing him into the sun and had made his eye look like it was duller than the other

Tanya giggled playing with the entrails of a human who'd wandered into the cave and had tried to attack her. Tanya was stronger now and was happy for that. Her smile grew as she thought about Diana. 'I think I might go pay her a visit one of these nights.' Her mind was beginning to slip a bit faster now but she didn't mind. She lay down and used the mans body who shed mutilated as a pillow and giggled again.

The baby girl whimpered, watching the elder go.
Demitri sighed as he rocked his son "Shhh...grandfather is the crabby sort. He's a bit of a jerk but loves you both." he said, playing with his sons tiny hand. "Hey look over here. Lets say hi to your mother." he smiled.

Claire sighed softly as she looked back "A simple touch wouldn't have been bad. They're your blood after all."

"Scar doesnt look bad at all. you gotta thank Aela for it..as well as the Lady who saved you." he said. "Listen, I know its hard, butyou gotta fight for control, stand up and be the strong man I used to know. Other wise your powers will slaughter everything and everyone you protected and loved."

Caleb kept his eyes ahead of his and chuckled "If I did that it would have given me away. Demitri knows me well enough that he'd have known what we're about to do is close to suicide for us."

The little boy stared up at his father then looked at his mom and laughed reaching for her.

Hiro's body was completely still again, where he looked dead though he was still there. He felt tired and weak now.

"well it is under the assumption your still his uncle. Most wouldn't have a second though to an uncle welcoming new blood to a family, besides, who can resist those two beautiful babies, congrats by the way." Claire said with a smile. "We're gonna be fine. He distracts Tanya we will be in and out before midnight." she opened the door, showing the carriage right up against the door. "Hurry it up."

Demitri smiled softly, "I think we got a mamas boy." he said and carried the boy to his mothers side.
the baby girl giggled and took her mothers hand, noming on one of Alese fingers.

crowe sighed, shaking his head. "Dont prove her wrong..." he sat down on the steps and leaned back, playing with a bolt.

Caleb stayed quiet for a while then spoke lowly as darkness swirled in the doorway blocking out the light "don't count on it kid. Tanya is unpredictable and crazy" in a blurr he vanished and was in the carriage.

Alese smiled softly and gently pulled her fingers away from.her daughter playing with her then looked at her son and giggled.
The little boy stopped smiling and moving staring ahead if him.

Frost began covering the ground around girl where he was sleeping

"I'm not, this all Leas plan. She had one the minute I let her in...she was a very clever woman for being so peaceful." Claire said quietly. "but I guess thats what a mother is...anyway get in and hang on." she said "May get bumpy."

Demitri chuckled softly "Think she's hungry...whatcha looking at m'boy?" he said, noticing his sons stare.

"Crowe eyed him as he heard the crackle of frost. "Boy control yourself...give her something to believe in. Someone your boy would have been proud of."

The frost slowly crept onto hiros body making his skin look paler than it already was. His hair was once again snow wite aside from the bits if grey but his eyes never opened. He'd used more energy than he meant to fighting himself and had made it where his body was pulling every last bit it had to keep him.safe while he rested.

Jaden jerked awake from a bad dream and looked around franticly before sitting up slowly.

Alese smiled and kissed her daughters head before looking back at demitri. She focused on her son for a moment and noticed the hollow look in his eyes and felt a sharp pain in her head seeing a fuzzy image of a man and woman in the dar. 'What the...' She shook her head trying to think straight but now she was completely confused.

The boy stayed perfectly still staring ahead of him, as though his mind wasn't there

Caleb closed his eyes sitting in the carriage and focused on letting himself rest.
