Caleb shook his head "No, you have to stay here. You only just got your family, and Alese will need YOU by her side. She'll wind up killing anyone else. Besides....I have my own home to return to and I have to check on things with my own servants. Just stay here and focus on your life. Things will work out fine. But I never said I'D go after her, that just the only time I'd be able to if I had to. Besides Alvor wouldn't risk killing me. In all honesty he's weaker than Tanya is, by a bit now since she killed Darius. Tanya would be an issue, but to me, she's nothing I have to worry about just yet. Not unless she draws more attention to us. Her humans might deplete some but the ones around me are safe and sadly I'm going to have to start sending the ones from my village away. They're over-populating the area" He smirked slightly and looked up at the shelves of books.

jaden nodded slightly but stayed quiet

Alese's eyes cracked open. She felt horrible and shuddered hard before fighting to sit up. Her world began spinning making her grip her head tightly.

Demitri frowned. "True, but your family too...Father. I rather not lose you to something stupid and selfish. If Tanya is coming after my family and my kingdom I have a duel duty to protect. Just allow me with the means to give you more time." He said, "ah... I don't quiet have the heart either... Perhaps send them to my city? Since I killed Devan, I soul control her land. The feral rampage cause a lot of lives lost, since my Hunter has taken care of a good chick, it's safe for more."

Jordan kissed her head softly "Shh. Your safe again."

Caleb shook his head slightly "My boy, you have a lot to learn still. I've always been your family and I've always taken care of myself, and all of you. Now, you're going to have to stay here with your family for the sake of everyone else. Besides, Until Tanya or Alvor cause more destruction than normal, I can not touch them, though I can warn them both of their situations. For now, focus on this place. You'll have more humans here within the month. They don't fear us, but they do respect us so you'll have it pretty easy with them."

Jaden shuddered hard and whispered "No one is safe with them around"

Demitri sighed, "you know how ridiculously stubborn you are?... I might find my own way to help you. But I'll let it be today. Drink all that you need, then get some rest Father." He said as he set down the blood. "I'll be back down here shortly if you still wish to talk."

Jordan sighed "I know... But we can always count on Hawke and Caleb." He said softly, nuzzling against her cheek. "And me to protect you"

Alese looked around with bloodshot eyes feeling exhausted and shaking slightly. Her eyes landed briefly on the twins before she tried to stand and collapsed onto the floor.

Caleb waved Demitri off "Stop fretting over me boy." When he heard the soft thud he turned his head towards the door "Your wife needs you. Go to her"

Jaden smiled weakly and hugged Jordan tightly whispering "I keep seeing the past in the dark half of my world, and it terrifies me to think it might ever happen again"

"I fret over family, like you do old man." He said, "get some rest alright?... And come to me before you leave, I'd like my children to know their grandfather better than I do." He said before leaving the room and heading upstairs quickly. When he opened the door he saw Alese on te floor and rushed to her side. "Alese! What happened?" He asked as he helped her up. "You shouldn't be walking."

"Hey, it will never happen again, Hawke and Caleb would die before they allow any darkness here..." He said softly and nuzzled her.

Caleb shook his head slightly and stared up at the books surrounding the room and sighed softly.

Alese staggered against Demitri and growled weakly and looked around. She let her eyes settle on the last of the blood in a pitcher by the bed and nodded towards it slowly.

Jaden slowly looked at Jordan sadly "Caleb has no say in what happens around here. Only Hawke does....but....Caleb is one of the elders....and they can always change his perspective on things...."

Demitri followed her gesture and sighed. "If you needed anything you should have called... You gave birth to twins love... That causes damage even to vampires." He chuckled as he carried her to bed. He placed her back beside the twins and made sure she was comfortable. "So is it my normal wife I'm speaking to? Or the mother grizzly?" He chuckled softly, pouring her a glass of blood and handing it to her.

"But he's Hawkes blood, he cares for him and wouldn't go against him love. Trust me." He said softly. "Besides, I will never let anything hurt you."

Alese rolled her eyes and waited until she'd drank before speaking weakly "Oh ha ha. Very funny. I'm not a grizzly, but if I were I'd have mauled you for making that comment" Her voice was strained and her eyes were bloodshot and exhausted. She gently touched Demitri's cheek smiling softly "Besides, I can't exactly raise my voice with my throat hurting and these two sleeping"

Jaden whined softly and nodded slightly trying to feel reassured by Jordan's words but she still felt on edge and shaky.

"You nearly mauled their grandfather, and our friends." He chuckled softly, he looked at the sleeping twins and chuckled. "They're such hard sleepers. Our daughter is extremely curious and u afraid of power.. Like her mother." He smiled.

"Relax and sleep, we need it." He said softly and laid her down.
