indent Just as he was about to rejoin Ansel and Milo, the two disappeared, as did the medic that Dan had just stolen. Hmph. Thefting my thefted person. Rude.
indent Just as he was considering spending some quality time with the bathroom, since the medics probably wouldn't be happy if he threw up over their floors, Sienna appeared. One of his mentors. He didn't really know her well, except for the fact that even though she was nice, she could be stern. Also that it was freakin' terrifying whenever she popped out of nowhere. Invisibility would be totally perfect for a haunted house actor, he thought, watching as she went to talk with Lorenzo, who Dan hadn't actually noticed before. Has he been here the whole time, or...?
indent As the two talked, Dan found himself slowly wandering away, until a voice caught his attention. Sienna. He wasn't paying very close attention, but the recruit somehow managed to snag a few key words and put together what she was saying from there. A nap. Yeah, that sounds perfect...
indent Green eyes stared into her's as he gave her a small, hesitant nod. Looking over his shoulder, he could see that there was still some sort of argument going on down the hall. Thinking it best to avoid the situation, Daniel threw his remaining energy into opening a portal on the wall next to him. Once again, he gave his mentor a thankful nod before he jumped through. The instant Dan's feel touched the ground on the other side, he could feel the exhaustion flooding throughout his body. He'd never been allowed much practice with his portals in the past, and now that he was able to use them more often... The recruit simply did not have the stamina for more than a few jumps a day. Two portals would've been fine. Three was stretching it thin. Four would not turn out great.
indent As the young man trudged over to his bed, he noticed a small figure sleeping a few bunks away. Guess i'm not the only one who needed a nap? A part of him was glad there was someone else in the room to sort of keep him company, but a larger part of the recruit wanted to be alone for a while. Silently hoping the sleeping figure wouldn't snore and wake him up or something, Dan climbed into bed and totally passed out man I mean it was SECONDS fastest falling asleep time ever.

indent He didn't miss the soldier's nervous glance, nor the words that came pouring out of Fireflies, Shinoto, and Random Girl's mouths. Within minutes, Levi couldn't help but feel like he needed to get out. He was a medic, not an officer. Was this information he was even supposed to hear? I mean... Most of it is common knowledge anyway? And if the General doesn't want me here, they can always ask me to go...
indent "Of course..." A part of Levi felt honored, in a way, that the General hadn't denied his help. Sure, diagnosing illness and injury was his job. He did it every day, sure, but this was the General of the biggest organized rebellion in the US. The leader in their march for a better future. Throw in the fact that their powers were contact-based? Lev had met a lot of scared kids with touch-based powers who didn't want him anywhere near them. Of course Milo wasn't a child, but the sentiment remained. For a moment, Levi let a small, reassuring smile to pass over his face as he lifted his hand to hover above the General's, then it was back to business.
indent The moment Levi's hand touched his leader's, the medic began to feel a familiar ache in his eyes. It took him a few seconds and a lot of blinking to get used to it again, but once he did, it was treated as an age-old friend. Sure, it hurt, but that was his power's price for helping another. A small cost compared to losing a life.

indent "- Shinoto and Akiko were messing with Jessica’s head I was arguing with Jessica -" At this, Levi let out a little wheeze, his eyes wide as he looked between Ansel, Milo, Fireflies, Shinoto, and Other Girl. As soon as the words left Fireflies' mouth, every inch of the medic's body begged him to flee. One of the first rules of staying with the rebellion, the first thing he was ever taught in this compound... Don't use your powers on another rebel without permission. And they violated that. Lev wasn't especially keen on sticking around to hear the trio's fate.
indent Nononono! Stop! Just ignore that; listening to them isn't your job. Where was I anyway? Right, so... Yeah. Low red blood cells, low blood sugar, dehydration. Not bad, considering the circumstances...
indent As the three younger teens spoke about their day's troubles, Levi sat down next to his leader and leaned in a little, voice dropping to as quiet a whisper as he could, "You're a little bit anemic and dehydrated, but you should be fine with some rest, food, and water," he explained, trying to speak quickly so as to not interrupt his fellow rebels too long, "I'll be right back. I'm gonna grab you something to eat and some water." And just like that, he was on his feet, making his way to the door.
indent A twist of the silver knob, the soft click of the door closing, and Levi was gone.

indent "Amnesia? So? What? Jessica - our Jessica - is just... not here?" He wondered aloud, a small wave of confusion falling over his features as he considered it. What happened? What could have possibly caused... This?
indent And suddenly, Romi was trying to heal her. Cairo didn't understand a lot of things, but limits was not one of them. She already looked tired enough, and something like this? No. He couldn't let her potentially hurt herself. Even if he offered her a bit of luck, Kai didn't have much to spare anyway. Not today. Luck was weird that way - it granted opportunities, opened closed doors, even helped him carry out his actions, but he still had to make the choices. Maybe he underslept, or even overslept, but today just didn't seem to have a lot of opportunities, and he could feel it... Somehow. He'd never been entirely sure how that part of things worked. It just was something he didn't understand.
indent "We need more than one person holding her," Blythe's calm, steady voice rang out as she tried to diffuse the situation, "No offense hun." It took him a minute to realize that the mentor had just called him 'hun', but the instant it did, a wide, playful grin became plastered on Kai's face. Oh, Ms. Evans. How i've missed talking to you since... Well, I guess it was only yesterday or the day before or something... Not that long. BUT STILL!
indent "None taken, my dear," he cooed back at her, eyes sparkling with mischief. He knew it wasn't the time or place for humor, but Kai just couldn't help himself. He and Blythe had long been friends, and this kind of humor just so happened to be their language. The best way they communicated, the- Hold up... What were we talking about again? OH! Yeah...
indent Then, it was back to the task at hand. Letting go of Jess's arm, Cairo reached out to grab the young medic's hand, to pull her away from Jessica. But then, she spoke, and for a moment, he hesitated. She doesn't think we trust her? She wouldn't be a medic if she wasn't trustworthy. Besides, who else is gonna patch me up after Hugo pays a visit?
indent "It's not that I - we - don't trust you, Romi," He explained, gently pushing the girl's hand away from their Advisor's head, "We just... We don't know what caused this and you said it yourself: it takes a lot out of you. We need you at your strongest in case more people come back injured, and healing this isn't going to help that. At the very least, I think we should consult the General first."
