Admittedly, Meridian leaned very slightly into the touch on his cheek, but after a few moments after it had been healed, he internally panicked and stepped back, moving just out of reach. Being a bargaining chip seemed likely. He doubted that there was any other reason that he could see. And with Sin in prison, he figured that it might be a little easier to escape. But why would he want them in good health? He didn't think that it was something that Sin would care about. "That's all you know? Or all you're telling me, anyway..."

Cyrus walked up to Liam's cell, leaning up against the bars, a sly smile on his face. "Oh, I think we do have good luck... thank you..." he said, slowly, his tone almost dangerous and suggestive, "I might be a hero of the people, but I will break you if it means getting Meridian and the other captives back..." he let the words hang in the air, before finally stepping back and turning towards Nathan, and walking towards his cell. "You mean if he gets free... and if you haven't decided to defect over to the hero side."

"If it did" salus started, trying to gently bring up a scenario "What do you think would be happening?" She knew how close he and the leader of the villains had been before he had joined them, the fact he had come to them being one of the winnin factors between the two. Most days, it seemed like he blamed himself for the other man's choices, which she found so much fault in. He was brilliant, and incredibly brave. He didn't deserve to carry that around with him. Keeping her eyes on her right hand man, she sent Celeste a quick message, asking her to try to hack into whatever tech she could, locating the villains as fast as possible. She needed to be prepared for this.

Arrous sighed and let his hand fall back to his side. "Sinner may seem heartless but he can and does care about us and those he captures." He said his voice low and soft. "I know he cause many problems but I do miss him." He said his voice having a hint of sadness in it. "From what I know he only wanted his captured villains home safely and for you all to be on your way."

Liam whimpered, listening to the other. He coward down a bit at his words. He didn't know heroes could be so scary and violent. He let out a loud whine, keeping himself as far away from the bars as he could.

Nathan snarled in anger. They knew Liam was the weaker of the two and where going after him for it. He got up from his seat and stalked over, his head held high. He stopped right in front of the bars. "You're only talking high and mighty since we're in here." He growled out. "And he will get free mark my words." He said with a smirk behind his mask. "And why would anyone want to be a hero? After everything dies down no one pays you any mind. It's like you've been forgotten. Old news."

William shook his head, resting it in his hands. "I honestly don't know." He said his voice low. He rubbed his temples a bit. "I know we've locked him away but I think I need to pay him a visit. I need to be sure he's still locked away." He said slowly looking up at Salus. "I know it's dangerous, but I need to put my mind at ease."

Salus took a breath, burying her head in her hands. So much could go wrong with this, but... he seemed insistant. "Alright. I'm coming though, I'm not letting you do this alone" as she checked everything for a second time that day, she sent a quick text to Luna and Cyrus, warning them to be responsible. She wouldn't account for the younger member's actions again, no matter how much she wanted to help them. They needed to learn the rules of these things. After a few more minutes of chores, the young woman pulled on a hood that could cover her face enough to hide her identity, and called a local taxi business. "Are you sure you want to do this?" He folded his arms, his gaze trailing away, towards the ground, as to not make eye contact with the doctor. "It's safer for the city... for everyone... that he's put away." Meridian said, his tone quiet and soft. He just couldn't see any good to Sinner being free, regardless of how he treated the other villains under his rule. Then, he glanced up again. He wasn't sure if he believed what was said about the captives... but he could definitely use it. "Then let us be on our way." Meridian added, figuring that it was worth a try, though he doubted that the doctor would be swayed that easily..

Cyrus took a deep breath, and positioned himself a couple of feet in front of Nathan's cell, just out of reach. Liam was easy to tease and scare, but Nathan? Well, he would definitely be more fun to try and break. "Please, I always talk high and mighty. You guys just get to experience it more, how lucky of you." Cyrus replied, amused, and hardly fazed by the threats and talk from Nathan. "Forgotten? Oh no. Swooping in to save the day? Being the centre of attention? That's just some of the benefits of being a hero. I still get approached in public by citizens that want to take a photo with me." He preened himself, then winked towards Nathan.

Arrous sighed shaking his head sadly. "You know I can't do that. As much as I wouldn't mind letting you free." He said softly to him. He sighed once more looking over at Meridian. "I know many are happy Sin is locked away but many don't know the other side of him. He cared for us all like we where family. He always shared what he brought back even if it meant he got nothing. He wasn't all bad."

Nathan snorted. "Oh yes lucky us." He said to him, rolling his green eyes. "Well good for you goodie two shoes." He sneered at him. "I much rather cause panic and have fun doing so. It's so much more fun." He said with a harsh laugh. "Sides yes attention of the adoring public is nice, but they're fear is more fun." He said shaking his head with a smirk.

He got his gear on to hide who he was and nodded at Salus. "Yes I'm sure. I need to see him." He said softly to her. He was glad she was going with him but worried too. He didn't want her to get hurt because of him. "As much as I wish I didn't run into him again I have a feeling it has something to do with him." He said to her.

Damn. Even though he knew it wouldn't work, part of him had been hoping it would. But never mind. He could wait and bide his time. "...It was worth a try." Meridian commented, and shook his head slightly. Then, he listened to the doctor talking about Sinner. He could imagine that the Villain King meant a lot to the villain family - and vice-versa - but he could only focus on the bigger picture, of what the benefits were to Sinner being locked away, regardless of the impact he had elsewhere. That came with being a hero, he guessed. "I... don't know that. But... it's better this way, I'm sure, in the long term."

"Indeed you are lucky, I'm glad you agree." Cyrus said, cheerfully, finding the conversation quite interesting and fun. He should have come down earlier. "Panic and fear? Yawn. Such a stereotypical villain, aren't you?" Cyrus asked, raising an eyebrow, teasing Nathan. He didn't stop there, though. He decided that he absolutely just had to keep going. Then he'd go and get the captives some food - depending on what happened. "I guess someone might just have to keep a closer eye on you, aren't they? I volunteer myself. We'll have so much fun." Cyrus smiled innocently, but he couldn't help but wink again.

Arrous leaned his back against the bars. "I suppose. "Doesn't mean his family miss him any less and wish to have him back. He practically raised some of them." He said with a chuckle. "You should have seen it, sin running after them and cursing." He said laughing softly. "But he just had to get himself caught. All because he saw William and couldn't harm him. He used to be a fellow villain." He said to him.

Salus sighed again, and nodded. She hoped this wouldn't be as difficult as she assumed. The ride was short and full of conversation, her attempts to figure out what had happened between William and the Nightmare King failing. It was still nice to get a chance to talk to him again, not just small talk, but jokes and actual conversations. It was hard to imagine that they had ever been on different sides of the superhuman inner-city war. As they neared the remote location, Salus glanced over to William, making sure he was ready for this. She could only imagine how hard this would be, and no information was worth putting him through that kind of pain. "Do you think you're ready?" she asked, eyebrows furrowed.

But I don't know I just feel like I need to see him. I know he most likely hates me, but I don't know. We used to be so close. I.. I feel like I betrayed him you know?"
