She waved back, faintly hearing the thunder of the guard's shoes. She looked around, seeing guards. She didn't even consider how creepy the bridge might be, she just began to run across it. It was dark and foggy, and the shadows of taller trees made it very dark, almost impossible to see. Out of courage, she continued bolting across the bridge, hoping she wouldn't run into anything that might kill her.

[Azaline]

The guards were following right behind Ari, and Jaai shouted for Ari to hurry. She grabbed Ari's arm and pulled her quickly onto the safe side, and watched as the guards, as stupid as they were, run across the bridge. It began to split and break, so the guards jumped back to safety.

[Cilan and Mallory are still on the other side... ^_^; Let me make Cilan do some stupid stuff.
Bluestar, just say Rose made it to the other side safely. Have her actively go and interact with someone.]

"Cilan! Mallory!" Rowan called from the other side, in a panic. The guards were swarming the area, and Rowan couldn't see his brother and friend anymore.

"Dammit!" Cilan yelled, crouching low in the bushes. Somehow the guards hadn't noticed him yet, probably because of his dark hair and clothes. "Mallory, get across the bridge! I'll distract these suckers!"
He jumped out of the bushes and confronted the guards. "Hey guys. Looking for someone?"
"It's the Adamson boy!" snarled one of the guard. "Get him!"
"If you can catch me, suckers!" Cilan shouted, taking off. He ran parallel to the cliff. All of the guards were after him, and none of them were even trying to get the other kids anymore. Now Cilan just needed to lose these suckers.

[Azaline]

Jaai watched Cilan run the wrong way, and she pinched the bridge of her nose. "Seriously?!"

[SunnyJustice]

"He's going to get himself killed. Or worse," grumbled Cyprian. He moved closer to Jaai, who also seemed to be annoyed. "Does that idiot have any idea how much my father hates him? I came here to warn you guys, so nobody would get tortured to death. And now look what happens!"
"Shhh," Rowan soothed, "let's just all calm down. Cilan will find a way over once Mallory crosses the bridge."

[Azaline]

"Uh huh, he'll totally find a way over. How well would we survive if he died?" Jaai snapped, crossing her arms.

[SunnyJustice]

Cyprian scoffed. "Maybe we would survive better if the little stinker dropped dead."
Rowan gasped.
"It's true." Cyprian said nonchalantly. "Look at him! Good thing we all made it over, because he's going to get himself killed for sure."

[Azaline]

Jaai snorted. Cilan had disappeared from view. "Alright, I'm calling bets. My best pants, he dies."

Ari almost jumped when Jaai grabbed her arm and practically dragged her to the other side of the bridge. She breathed a sigh of relief. "Thanks for saving me over there," Ari said.
