Yukti - Designed by me

Yukti grew up as a fairly solitary viscet. She was never too fond of the company of others, but also wouldn't reject it constantly. When she had first learned to stand, she discovered the strange ability that the held. She could forcefully alter what another sees or feels, in other words, she could create illusions and force them upon others. It did not work with everyone, there are some who are smarter than her that can see through her tricks, but with the rest she is able to trick them in an instant.
In the beginning, Yukti used the ability as often as she could. It brought her out to others, made her more extroverted to the point that she would even preform tricks for random strangers. She loved the attention and the shock and awe on others faces when she casts her illusions. However, everything goes away. One viscet saw her tricks as not a fun blessing, but as a curse. He preached against her, called her a messenger of evil, and convinced others to believe him. Before she knew it, she was run out of the area, threatened to be killed or tortured if she should stay any longer. From that day on, she dreaded the thought of others and lived in complete solitude.
It wasn't all bad, being alone. She worked on her mind strength by practicing her tricks on other animals and even herself. It was a challenge to trick herself, so she tried to do it often. She would create small changes within the world, such as a bird where one wasn't or even something as small as changing the eye color of a passing animal in her mind. However, these never lasted long, as it was extremely easy for her to read her own mind and understand what she was doing.
Yukti lived like this for a long time, solitary, working on her tricks on herself and building up her skill, for if one of those viscets of the past were to find her, she intended to trick them to escape. It was in the fall when she saw another viscet, three years after she fled the group. She was extremely nervous of what this viscet would do if it should see her. She stayed hidden behind trees, watching it, preparing herself to trick it if things should go wrong. When the viscet was what she thought to be a safe distance away, Yukti moved, and felt instant regret. A twig snapped beneath her and she groaned inwardly before slowly looking back. Her fur stood on end as she locked eyes with the viscet, who was beginning to approach her. Her mind raced, she watched its every move thinking hard about if she should trick it, run, or if it would be safe. Before she could act, the viscet spoke out, calling to her. It asked if she was okay, commented on how stressed she looked and informed her that it had no intention to harm her. Its name was Xuikcho, female, and she had come from a pack that she used to be a part of. Yukti spoke with her hesitantly, nervous of what she would do or if she could trust her. However, despite how tense Yukti was, Xuikcho never seemed bothered in the slightest. She carried on the conversation casually, as though there were nothing strange about the situation.
Xuikcho stayed with Yukti for several weeks, the two growing closer and bonding as time went on. At the end of the third week, Yukti spoke to Xuikcho about her pack and convinced her to give them a second chance and go back, though Xuikcho only agreed to go if Yukti went with her. So, the two returned to Xuikcho's pack. The return was tense, even for Yukti. She could tell that there was bad blood between Xuikcho and a few others and could sense that there were several secrets hidden within the pack. Still, she worked to remain strong and aware, not wanting to aid in Xuikcho's tension. She spoke with some, and found herself being invited to stay within the pack several times, though each time she firmly stated that she would stay with Xuikcho. At the end of the day, the two walked away from the pack. Xuikcho was clearly tense, but there was also a hint of sadness in her eyes. Yukti pondered what their next move would be for sometime until an idea popped into her head. She took Xuikcho around the outer border of the pack until they found a large cave. There, Yukti began to set up her things, claiming the den as her home. Xuikcho was hesitant, but gradually agreed to live by her. She dug out a den nearby and nestled up. The two remained together, close to the pack but not within it, and resorted to each other for many things.
To strangers, Yukti is tense and nervous. She is always ready to cast an illusion if she should need to get away, and Xuikcho is always ready to attack if needed. It takes a lot of time and patience to earn her trust and even more time to become her friend. Because of this, she does not have many friends as many simply don't have the patience to work with her for that long. She doesn't mind this, however, as company is never really a favorable thing for her.
