I stopped in the middle of the sidewalk. Stumbling along the sidewalk was the dirtiest mare I had ever seen. She kept muttering something about not having a home or any hope, and I squinted at her, getting a nagging feeling I knew her from somewhere. But where had I known a grey mare? No wait! The very base of her horn, it was white! Hmm. "Hey, Turquoise, don't you think you've seen her somewhere before?" I finally asked. She nodded, and I thought harder. She must know both of us somehow... a name floated into my mind. Snowy! I remember calling one of my friends Snowy when I was in kindergarten... and Turquoise was in the same kindergarten as me! But what was her full name? "Hey," I said. "I remember you, you were in the same kindergarten as me before you moved away. I remember calling you Snowy, but what's the rest of your name?" "Snowdrift," she murmured quietly. "Where's your sister, and your parents?" Turquoise asked. That was answered with a strangled sob and a soft " I don't know." "Oh. well, what happened?" asked Turquoise. " A fire, the entire town was engulfed. It looked like it was magic-made, but I couldn't be sure. My parents were engulfed, and my sister too, probably. They're probably in somepony's prison by now." Snowdrift sighed, trying and failing to stop the flow of tears. they left a white path on her face, and it looked like somepony had applied white face paint to her face and muzzle. "How about you travel with us?" I suggested. "We're on a quest to find somepony caleed Hypnotic." Snowy recoiled like my words were intimidating her. "H-Hypnotic?" she asked fearfully. " I-I'm not s-so sure now..." she stuttered. "Come on, it'll be fine." coaxed Turquoise soothingly. "And, we happen to be heading to a hotel with a bathroom so you can take a nice, long, soothing bath." she added for good measure. "Well... okay." Snowdrift said, nodding vigorously.
Heehee, incorporating Snowdrift!!! MUAHHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
