remake of this old thing!
the two featured on this drawing are rial and gunter, the protagonist and deuteragonist of my story respectively! however you can ask anyone here questions as well!
quick tl;dr for context:
rial is the son of satan (known as abaddon) and a human woman. he was given to a church by his mother and raised until the church was burnt down by a demon named cathers. rial joined a theatre troupe where he met gunter, who was from a family of noble demon hunters. gunter left his family behind when his twin brother klaus died and demons killed his parents.
when gunter and rial both die, they go to "sheol", or this universe's version of hell. in sheol, there are 6 layers and the higher up in sheol you go, the more power demons get. the level of power is represented by how many eyes a demon has. souls with 2 (where you start), 1 or 0 eye/s are considered spirits, while demons with more eyes (the highest known is six, which is abaddon alone) gain more powers. you gain eyes by killing other spirits and eating their souls.
gunter and rial join a group called the new sheol order started by winona, a model from the year 2500 and cir, a cyborg created from an artificial soul who can travel between earth and sheol in different forms. in this organization, gunter finds out that klaus is actually dating the demon that killed him and it was all a ruse for klaus to run away with his boyfriend.
one thing leads to another, gunter kills mara and runs away from the organization. rial is kidnapped by his father and cathers and hypnotized to become a "guard dog" for abaddon, and eventually gunter faces his wrong decisions and is able to reach out and save rial. they defeat abaddon and a slighted klaus who became a demon as power as abaddon himself and, idk, all is as well as it can be.
there is not and likely will never be a version of this story which is consumable (eg a written story or a webcomic) because this is really just my middle school fantasy with a whole bunch of confusing details and plot holes and i just want it to stay that way. however i am working on worldbuilding so people who are interested can check out the world on th and maybe... make their own ocs for the world :"3c
