There can only be one Ruby gem animal (same with the other gems, when picked, you can't have another of the same gem), and it has to match with the element given (for the main gems at least). You may pick any other gem (examples like Cuprite or Spinel, for red gems) to pick whatever power hasn't been used for the main gems, like shape-shifting.
