Halflight and Smudgewhisker
Halflight heard Ashstar's agonized screech from inside the warrior'd den. He dashed out of the den, looking around frantically. What is going on?! His pale amber eyes lighted on Ashstar, and he felt his heart stop. The fox seemed to have the advantage over the slight grey tom. "Smudgewhisker, get out here!" he called, knowing that his fellow warrior was still in the den as well. The strangely muscular she-cat ambled out of the den, fur sticking up in odd places and grumbling angrily.
How polite of him to wake me up from my nap, she thought bitterly. Then her eyes found Ashstar. Her mind automatically started whirring, and without thinking she launched herself at the fox, landing slightly off to its side. She tore at its pelt with her sharp claws, hissing angrily. She had left Halflight behind, rushing past him in her attempt to get to the fox, but she saw him stalking the fox from in a wide circle, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. She glanced over her shoudler as the patrol returned. Thank Starclan!
Chaospaw and Duskpaw
Chaospaw and Duskpaw were lying in a small sunny clearing a little ways away from camp. Their light pelts brushed up against eachother as they shared tongues and soaked up the sun's rays. They had no idea about what was going on in the camp, having been gone since before dawn. It had been another of Chaospaw's ideas of an "adventure," and of course she had dragged Duskpaw along. Chaospaw was pretty sure that neither of their mentors knew where they were, and that was exactly how she liked it. They don't need to know where we are. It's not like we're getting into trouble.
