"No, I mean, I think she wanted me to chase her." he chuckled, remembering what she'd said when she had run off. 'What's the point of being an apprentice if you can't have any fun?' Then she'd run off laughing. "I feel a little bad for leaving her but I was wet and wanted to get our, er... Her prey back to camp." His eyes narrowed. She should be back, however.
His tail twitched a little more anxiously as he looked towards the enterance. "I'm sure she'll be ok. If she can cough up all the water she did then run off laughing into the trees, she should be able to wander the forest for a while." His ears swiveled around the camp, catching bits and peices of conversations.

Mousepatch

Mousepatch watched the warrior disappear as Fallenbird appeared with a stick. Edging forwards the best she could, she clamped her jaws down onto it as pain washed over her once more. A strangled yowl erupted from her jaws once more, this time slightly muffled by the stick, in which her ivory teeth were now embedded. Silentstep better come soon....

Shadowpaw

Shadowpaw lay in the bottom of an old, badger den, her small, wet chest rising and falling slowly. Her ears lay flat and her eyes gazed blankly at the stream of light, that shone down from the entrance of the den. She struggled to sit up, grinding her teeth to avoide the pain of her snapped leg. She sighed, losing all hope, and lay flat on her back. She could feel the blood, slowly dripping, from the long, ripped open skin on her pelt, and she licked her lips, her dry salty tounge almost cracking. It was settling dusk, and she had fallen in when she had left Stormpaw on her enthusiastic adventure. She sighed, tears trickling down her shining, black face.

Tinydove

Tinydove curiously tilted his head as he heard a yowl from the nursery. He blinked and assumed some cat was kitting, and he hoped they would be okay. He glanced around the clearing, wondering where Ashstar was. The sooner Ashstar picked a deputy the sooner he could sleep.

Silvercloud

Silvercloud yawned as she padded through the forest, heading back to camp after a nice walk. She tasted the air for a moment and scented mouse. She dropped into a crouch, peering through the grass until she saw the little brown creature. Silvercloud creeped forward, flicking her tail before pouncing on the mouse. It dangled from her jaws as she rose and padded on, wondering if Ashstar had picked the new deputy yet.

Second, Foxflight and Doodle. Bug have left the RP for personal life issues like school, they will be missed. Third, since Doodle. bug held the medicine cat position and is no longer here we need a new medicine cat. We will take care of this once the deputy is choosen but keep in mind if you can only have one high position.}

Firestorm

He entered the two-leg nest with a cautious attitude. He stepped lightly forward, jumping when the old rotten floor would creak. He glanced wearily up into the open rafters of the house. He never understood why they needed such large and luxurious nests. All they had was a mixture of moss, feathers, and other soft items in their nests and they were perfectly fine. The cover of the old worn down nest was terrible. It was damaged severely to the point where holes where in the rocks and different plants grew inside the nest. He shook the thoughts away and focused on the task he had. He pricked his ears listening for the slightest noise in the nest and parted his jaws letting the musty air feel his mouth. He soon picked up the scent of a mouse over in the corner. He waited awhile then he heard the scuffling then its tiny head bobbing up and down. He crept forward slowly afraid that the boards would creak and send the creature scurrying away. He was about six rabbit tails away when the mouse detected him and scuttled towards the nearest opening. Oh no you don't! He launched forward swiftly and landed on the mouse back. It started squirming and with a quick bite to the neck it stopped. Satisfied with his catch he went farther into the nest. He soon successfully killed two more mice and trotted out of the nest proudly. He purred. "I see you found your squirrel. Well done!" He praised his apprentice with joy then continued. "Well, let’s get back to camp before we miss the deputy naming ceremony." He wandered into the woods keeping an easy pace so his apprentice could keep up.

Duskpaw
Duskpaw nodded, picking up the squirrel in his jaws and heading back in the direction of camp, the squirrels tail dragging slightly on the ground. He trotted alongside Firestorm, wondering who would be chosen for deputy. I wonder if it'll be Firestorm, he thought looking up at his mentor. In his opinion, Firestorm would make a fine deputy, but so would many of the other cats in the clan. ((Sorry for the short-ish post...))

Chaospaw
Chaospaw nodded as Stormpaw further described what had happened. Still though, as she glanced up at the quickly darkening sky, she could not help but notice and uneasy feeling gnawing at the pit of her stomach. Suddenly, her eyes lit up as she realized how much fun an adventure like this might be. "I have an idea," she muttered, lowering her voice so that only Stormpaw could hear. "If Shadowpaw is not back by after the new deputy is named, why don't we go find her? I mean, I'm sure I could get Duskpaw to come along with us, and if anyone else wanted to, we could bring them along. It would be like we're warriors!" She inserted as much enthusiasm into her voice as she could while still remaining quiet. "We could go to where you last saw her, and follow her scent. It would be perfect! All we have to do is slip out of camp after dark, and no one has to know!" Her unusual silver eyes glittered mischievously as she waited for Stormpaw's reply.

Stormpaw's eyes lit up. Thank StarClan for Chaospaw he thought. Now I'll have an excuse to go look for her without looking like I'm really worried
As extremely self-centered as it was, he couldn't help but feel mixed feelings of excitement and guilt. A knot was building in his stomach and he almost blurted out that he wanted to go look right now. It wasn't like they wouldn't find out who the deputy was later anyway, but he kept silent and tried his best to look enthusiastic. It'll be fun... Just be patient.


Fallenbird
She dug her claws into the earth, wanting to help out with Mousepatch's kitting but she had no idea how else to help. It seemed that Smudgewhisker was getting the medicine cat and a few cats poked their heads into the den, ignoring the upcoming ceremony. Padding towards the edge of camp, she sat beside a tree and clawed the bark, trying to take her tension out on the tree.

Mousepatch gritted her teeth as another wave of pain washed over her, coupled with the urge to push. She had to resist it, Silentstep wasn't here yet. But she also needed to push. Making up her mind, the queen decided to go with her instincts, and pushed. She pushed and pushed. Yowls left her jaws more frequent than ever. Her claws dug into the soft moss beneath her.
And she had two tom kits beside her. A black and white patched tom, and a grey tabby.
