Raven blinked her eyes, to shake the crust off. "Boulder?" she questioned. As her eyes began to focus she noticed that most of the clan was standing around her, but something was wrong, Where was the kit?! Raven's eyes scanned her clanmates, her eyes landing on Jay. She was licking the kitten with great passion, Raven could see the desperation in Jay's eyes.

Boulder released the breath that he'd been holding when Raven opened her eyes. "You're alright!! Thank The Tribe of Endless Hunting!!" he buried his nose in her fur, previous awkwardness forgotten in his relief. "What happened?"

Raven was cold, and wet, but it didn't matter, Boulder was with her, and the kit was safe. "I... I... I saved the kit... in river..." she panted, "he was drowning... had to save..." She looked up at Boulder with big eyes.

"You to rest," he announced, a loving instinct coming over him. "Jay! Can you get some dry moss to soak the water from Raven's pelt?" He bent down to Raven "Don't worry, you just relax and the kit will be all taken care of." As soon as the words left Boulder's mouth, he knew something was wrong. A kit? Floating in the river? It would had drowned after less than a minute, and some cat would have surely seen how it got into the water, because the flow is not very fast. So how would it have gotten in? Some one had to put it there, but fast, so no cat would see them doing it. Nobody else saw the kit, but Raven. So, what if... what if it's Raven's kit?!? The father could have been anyone! And if she didn't want her tribemates to know she had kits, for whatever reason, this could be a perfectly logical way to hide it! And then that must have been why she was so uncomfortable when I told I wanted her to be my mate! She allready has one! Sadness washed over him, replaced by a burning hatred. He abruptly stood up. "I'll get the moss Jay," he said in a clipped tone, for justification to get a far away from Raven as could be.

Cricket awoke, sleepy, when he heard cats talking. "Snow! Let's go see what's going on!!" Snow streached and followed her brother out of the nest. "Are we going to sneak out?" she quietly asked. "well, of corse! Breeze would never let us go if she knew!" Cricket then padded out of the cave, and looked to where most of the Tribe was gathered. They spotted Jay, licking a... What was that? A kit! They scurried back to their nest and woke Breeze.

History:
Lightning used to be a kittypet, her owner left her on the side of the street on day, and never came back. She was taken in by a forest clan, and known as Skycharger, but they treated her unfairly, and her own mentor tried to kill her. Running off she found the Tribe Of Running Streams, and was taken in and given a new name, because she came during a lightning storm.
