She let the memory roll around her head, when she and he siblings had found the clan she had been holding catmint in her jaws because it smelled nice, that's why her name had been mintkit when the clan adopted them. She let out a low chuckle and padded out of camp.

Wolfstream closed her eyes and thought about what she had almost said, she wondered what he would have said...As far as she knew they were just friends and she might have ended that, she had almost asked Oakfur how he thought of her, would that really have been a mistake? Her mind asked itself. She shook her head and opened her eyes again.

Mintwing sniffed the ground as she got closer to the catmint, normally catmint was grown by two-legs so it was one of the hardest things to get your paws on. She rolled her eyes, what was she saying? She saw a few stalks a ways off and sped up a bit more.

Nyx spotted Mintwing and lay crouched in the undergrowth, trying not to be seen, this was a clan cat, yes? She shook her head and flattened her ears back, of course it was..

Mintwing sniffed the air before taking the last step towards the catmint, still the smell of catmint overpowered everything else. She shook her head, remembering that she was here to bring it back to camp, not roll in it like a kitty-pet. Set bent her head down to snip the stalk in half but stood again, deciding to dig it up and bring the whole plant back to camp.

Nyx flicked her tail, purposely causing some leaves to sail to the ground,'Catmint, eh?' she called out, narrowing her eyes.

Mintwing jumped back and scanned the trees, wishing the catmint weren't there to block her sense of smell. She saw the leaves fall and naroowed her eyes until she knew where the other cat was. She pretended to keep looking for the other cat as she stepped backward towards the catmint again, "What of it?" she called to the other cat.

Nyx closed one of her eyes and watched Minteing, sending down some more leaves,'Humm....Nothing...nothing...it's just--...'

Mintwing tilted her head, confused now, why was this other cat meowing at her anyways? Annoyed Mintwing turned at grabbed the plants. She looked at where the other cat was and mumbled though the plants "Catch you later, stranger." Before she padded quickly back towards camp.
