"Tomorrow's our apprentice ceremony..." Leafkit yawned. "Stormkit's, too. If Shadowstar doesn't think twice, because she's blind. Let's go to sleep now." He padded towards his mossy nest that he shared with his sister Stormkit.

(...The notice didn't require those fancy character banner things on every post XD Just saying that I want at least 1 or 2 well-written sentences per post...because 3-worders are incredibly boring. And I was getting people with horrible grammar trying to join.)

(And I was at a sleepover XD)

Cloudkit felt happy that Leafkit and Stormkit would be apprentices soon. And yet...she felt uncomfortable whenever Leafkit made googly eyes at Shadekit. Recently, she'd been sticking around her mother at all times, lest Shadekit lash out again. Cloudkit was...scared. She didn't understand why Firekit and Runningkit kept risking stepping on Shadekit's tail during their games of tag.

Brokenkit limped over to where Stormkit was. "I hope you enjoy your apprenticeship," he mewed sincerely, eyes shining. "I can't wait until I'm six moons old!"

"Me neither. It's gonna be awesome. I hope you get a great warrior name when you grow up like..." Stormkit meowed. "Actually, what do you want for a name? I want to be called Stormblaze!" But then she realized that would be kinda stupid... Like, she didn't have red eyes or anything.
Thinking of eyes made her think of being able to see, which made her depressed, so she decided to think about something else.

Leafkit snored as he dreamed about being Leafstorm, the warrior, and hunting a huge mouse as big as twelve cats. He caught it easily, because all he had to do was jump onto it and sink his teeth into its neck. He could jump higher than thirteen cats in his dreams!

[[I figured. I'm just trying something new out. It actually seems stupid so I'm taking it off for now. XD]]

Brokenkit looked thoughtful for a moment. "Oh, I don't know...maybe Brokenclaw?" It was, sadly, the best he could come up with. Brokenheart, Brokenstrike, Brokennose...they all sounded stupid!

Cloudkit curled up, pressing her pelt into her sleeping mother's. Her brothers were about a tail-length away, snoring gently. Cloudkit was wide awake while they'd exhausted themselves with a hard day of play. The little kit wished she wasn't so timid...but it was her nature.

Oakclaw looked at Brokenkit. "What if your name was Shadekit?" he asked.

Doveheart licked the kits forehead.

"If I were you," The she-kit meowed, "I would just ask for a name change!" She wondered what he would get named. Probably something stupid... Brokenbrain, Brokenface, Brokenfang, Brokenwhatever was stupid!

Oakclaw looked at him. "come with me," he mewed and headed over to Shadowstar.

"Wait for me!" Stormkit squealed. She ran in the direction of Oakclaw's scent even though she couldn't see him.

Oakclaw stood in front of his leader. "If Brokenkit agrees, I think we should rename him Shadekit."

Moonshine licked her kits.

Redkit purred happily and suckled.

Bluekit purred and suckled, hungry.

Doveheart looked at her friends. "I guess telling you can wait. We need to get this kit back to camp."
