Dovewing blinked at the tom then smiled.
"Oh, its ok," she said sweetly then turned back to her cousin.
"Look. Stop fantasizing! Like there would ever be a Greenstar? That is stupid. C'mon! Much better as Dovestar or Risingstar!" she bragged and Greenpaw hissed.
"I will become Leader! I will!"

Risingspirit's eyes became slits and he hissed at Greenpaw. Hegot up and replaced himself by Dovewing's side. He blinked rapidly, completely peeved by the little one's will to be the leader. No, it was his job to make his parents happy...

Dovewing flicked her tail at Greenpaw.
"Go on. Off you go! If you want to become Leader so-so bad, then go off and train," she licked his head then nudged him out of camp. He rolled his eyes at her then went off. She then turned to Risingspirit.
"So sorry about my cousin! Hes a pain," she said, a little embarresed about him.

Risingspirit shook off his unease. He couldn't make it. Why did Irisstar not accept him? It was hope. He'd have to live with this for a little while. Then, then he could be leader. He twitched an ear and gave her an easy, natural smile. "It's fine!" He laughed and mews, "It's sort of amusing!" It contradicted the way he acted majorly.

Dovewing smiled.
"Good. Most people hate him, but I can understand why. Maybe if people gave him a chance..." she stopped. She whipped her tail around herself, a little uneasy.
"Maybe when Irisstar is gone... Maybe one of us will make a good Leader... Lightpelt, our deputy, will be good I guess," she trailed off, thinking about it.

Risingspirit's head tilted backward in an irked sort of way. "I have to be leader," he mhispered, almost inaudible, but Dovewing could hear it perfectly. "My parents would be shamed." He hung his head and his tail fell.

Dovewing flicked her ears and blinked at him.
"Your parent, huh? I never knew mine," she replied, no emotion in her voice.

Risingspirit looked at her, his eyes clouded with agony. "The dog, the dog killed them." His voice wouldn't allow itself to be more than a raspy whisper. "Them and my two sisters. My parents thought I would be the best." He swallowed and swayed a little. "I have to be the best!" He shouted hoarsly.

Dovewing shuffled back a little.
"Dog. Dogs are evil! My mother and father abandoned me. I will never know why, but they just did. I hope it was for the best," she replied, a little tear forming.

Risingspirit puts a paw on her back, not unlike he did Greenpaw. Sympathetic and caring. "I'm sorry. I'm sure it was. Maybe they were bad rogues and they didn't want to put the hatred on your family onto you and give you a burden? Maybe they knew they couldn't take care of you?" He blinks his caring eye reassuringly.
