sunstar saw that sandstar's tail tip was missing. she gasped and stepped back. "sandstar!" she looked up at the other two leaders, their eyes wide in amazement at her tail.

Rustkit's eyes were hard. "Fine. I. Don't. Eat. Cat. If. You. Never. Eat. Mice. Or. Squirrels. Or. Bunnies. Or. Anything!" he snarls. His fangs are bared. Spookkit rubs against Rustkit. He Eyes Rainstorm. "It was an enemy, why such a big deal? Isn't he supposed to fight?"

rainstorm fluffed out her tail "yes but he cant eat them! it was sandstar's tail! thats terrible!"

Rustkit gulps down the remains of the tail. "It. Was. Only. The. Tip! And. I. Plan. To. Eat. Much. Much. Much. More. Cat. Next. Time, Not. Just. Tail. Tip. And. Not. From. Live. Cat. I. Eat. Full. Cat. And. You. Cannot. Stop. Me!" he snarls. Spookkit's eyes are filled with hurt. "I raised you better!" he cries.

rainstorm's hackles raised "no you wont! spookkit, go to the elder's den! now!"

Spookkit runs off, sobbing. He crawls into the elder's den and sobs in the corner. Rustkit steps forward. "I. Know. Why. You. Sent. Him. Away. Go. Ahead. Kill. Me!" he snarls.

rainstorm growled "i wont kill you, rustkit, but what i will do... i will make you understand. you are a fox. you can never be a sunclan warrior" she growled.

sunstar growled lightly as oceanstar yowled "retreat!" he glared at sunstar then nudged sandstar from the clearing with applestar following. she made one last, sorrowful glance at sunstar before jumping to the sandy hollow and after the clans

Rustkit's eyes were filled with hate. "I can speak normally. You thought I was dumb, so I acted dumb" he growls. "And I understand if I can't be a warrior, I'm nothing. I'll leave. But If I leave, Spookkit will follow"

rainstorm's ears went back "you cant leave... not yet" she hissed "no you are not stupid! i thought you were smarter than the average fox... but you showed me that all foxes are filled with hatred"

sunstar looked arounnd at her warriors. she gasped as she saw spottedpelt. "spottedpelt!" she mewed, jumping down to him.

spottedpelt had a long gash down his flank. blood was flowing from the wound. he lifted his head "sunstar... " he said weakly

"Dumb does not mean Hatred" Rustkit snarled. And then he opened his mouth, showing his fangs. "Cat is all I will eat. So if you don't kill me now, your clanmates will die. I won't leave. I will die, or I will live until I become a warrior, eating cat. I will save Sunstar for last. So you have time to decide" he says. (He doesn't know Sunstar has 9 lives)
