Kirsten raised a dark brow, lifting her eyes to his at his comment. "Usually people say red suits me, hence the scarf." She said softly, trying not to think about how she read into such a color. They said red because of her attitude, but red seemed to... She didn't even know. At his question a smile played on her lips and she released his ankle to hold his paw instead, lifting their paws and stepping away from him with a little exageration to herr fluid steps as if they were dance partners. "Because you like it." She answered with laughter in her voice. She had risen out of her previous sulking mood, now just trying not to think about the long sleepless night before her.

Arlington attempted not to roll his eyes as he chuckled, the sound coming from deep in his throat. "It is a lovely scarf," he said simply. Not entirely 'manly' but it served a nice memento. Looking out at the night sky through Kirsten's window, he remembered why he had stood in the first place. "Well, I'd love to stay and continue our reading lesson," he began, voice sincere, "but my shift ended quite some time ago, and the others will be wondering what happened to me." His expression saddened a bit, having been enjoying the light time. Perhaps she could teach him more another time?

Kirsten glanced out the window, swinging their paws absently. "Alright." She said simply, turning to face him again. She shook his paw as if they were formal buisiness partners. She released his paw with a barely-there tug for him to follow her to the door, she was already padding across the room towards it. She thought over his words, curious as to who the others were that would be missing him. Other guards perhaps.

Aron followed simply, wondering why he would be surprised that she would see him on his way. "I'd really like if you could teach me more," he murmured as the dim lights of the hallway made the silver of his mask seem a lot warmer than it really was. "I really enjoyed it."

Kirsten nodded, coming to stand beside the door and watching him follow after her. "Sundays." She replied, diamond adorned eyes glittering at him as she refured back to when he thought he had days off.

Aron chuckled gently. To think he might actually spend his day off somewhere he'd truly like to be. "I'd enjoy that greatly," he agreed with a small smile that was mostly hidden by his metals. Or, his metal. He gave a brief nod of respect, another force of habit, before removing himself from her room. And forgetting his bracers.

She merely smiled in response, the turn of her lips more of a playful smirk than anything else. She closed the door behind him with a little click and leaned her forehead into the door, raising a tattooed paw to rub at one of her eyes sleepily, perhaps.. no. No she couldn't sleep. Instead she backed away from the door and padded into the pocket room, quickly washing her face, the little amount of makeup that her maid had been required to apply to her face coming of in little smudges as she dried her face with a towel. She glanced at herself in the small mirror, having refused the bigger mirror that had been offered to be hung up in there. She stared at herself for a long heartbeat, barely recognising herself since she usually avoided looking at her reflection in general. Soon enough she was burrowing under the covers on her bed, back to reading her book amongst the pillows and fighting to keep her eyes open.
