Bullet laughed as Rissa joined him, her coat now several shades darker with the water. "I think it's funny." he told her. He couldn't help but smile at her affronted expression; his mate pulled the best faces. He swam over to where she stood in the shallower waters and nuzzled her neck. "Of course, you're welcome to splash me back if it would make you feel better." he murmured in her ear with a smile.

Amen was happy to be back in herd lands. He had welcomed Slain back with a short whinny, but didn't go over to see what was up. He was just too tired and not a little bit hungry. The moment he found a patch of think grass, he dropped his head and began to eat. Maybe by the time everyone returned, he would feel better.

Perkta started glancing around nervously at her last comment. He hadn't thought of Aphrodite that way, though she was gorgeous he wasn't completely sure how he felt about her yet. He looked back bashfully at Kaiya and stammered, "She's not my uh, I mean we're not, um we're just aquantences" He looked from Kaiya back to Aphrodite, "We could go check out the herd though if you want Aphrodite."

Kaiya giggled and grinned at the troubled stallion
"Ah," She said, winking at him cheekily "I see."
Kaiya was good at reading personalities, and this was odvious.

If he had gotten that scuffled over her saying barely anything about them being a couple, he must be thinking about her.. Differently.

She smiled at him, "Well, just up that way Slain, and maybe Amen should be up there. You may want to talk to them."

She looked back in the direction she had come, longing to see Slain again and to be accepted by Amen.
She snapped out of her trance and looked at the two, who looked at her inquisitively.

She broke the silence with a laugh "Or you could stay wih boring old me,"
She said with a grin.

Slain looked at the stallion, he seemed quite troubled and Slain felt the need to try and help out.

Slowly Slain walked over to the stallion, he felt really tall standing there lowering his head sand relaxing his muscles "Is everything okay?" he asked softly, carefully.

Risa smiled. "Yeah, that's probably a good place to start. I was down there not long ago and I heard some around," she said, nodding in the direction of the river.

Amen was surprised to hear Slain talking to him- usually he spent more time with the mares.
"Im fine, just tired and hungry." he replied to the stallions question. "A bit of rest and I'll be fine. I think I probably just wandered too far today."

Jazzy raised her head and stepped back with shock. The whole world seemed to stop; the only thing she could faintly hear was the fast thudding of her heart, feeling as if it could break out of her chest. her ears lay flat against her head as she blinked rapidly to hold off a trickle of tears. Her throat tightened, head turning to see her daughter completely dispear down the slope before turning back to Thunder. He ears slowly pricked forward again, but a look of sheer worry and fear still clouded her lavendar eyes. I-I'm sorry.. Thunder." she nickered softly, nearly a whisper; barely heard over even the lightest breeze that ruffled her extensive mane.

Thunder shed a rare tear, unable to hold it back as his broad shoulders shook. "Don't be sorry." He whispered, his voice full of melencholy and pain. "Just remember, that you were a fine mother, and you did your job. She's free as the wind now. My sister is free as well, but she's not free as the wind, but the stars." He turned his head towards her, and gave her a small smile through his tears, giving her a nuzzle as comfort. "She's free, and so are you. You'll always be her mother."

The mare's eyes gleamed sadly at his story, and she gently nuzzled him. "It wasn't your fault. You were just a foal, you didn't know any better." She said softly, her heart aching for Oratunus. "And she gave her life for you. She didn't have to. She loved you more than i bet you could ever imagine." Dreamer spoke quietly, her voice soothing as she stepped closer to him, letting her soft coat brush against his side, trying to comfort him.

"Let's go, then! Kirian said, and started to trot off, ahead of the mares. He neighed, then looked back to see if they were following.

Cobalt kept on walking away, staggering along, feeling horrible. The confidence he had only a few moments ago had gone, and he was shattered. I should have known better! he thought. She told me she didn't want a herd! he thought. I should have listened. Cobalt sighed. He leapt into a bumbling canter, wanting to get away from Soliloquy, not wanting to let her down any more, not wanting to hurt her again. He slowed to a walk, and dragged his tail along the ground. He was such a wreck. Cobalt felt something damp against his hooves, and he looked down, only half-seeing. He had come to the river, and was standing in the muddy bank. Cobalt didn't care. He kept on walking, letting his white legs get muddy, letting his tail drag in the mud. Then, before he got to the water, he turned, and started walking up the river. He hung his head, feeling worthless.

Sand took one more step back before tilting his head. "Is there somewhere.. you'd rather go?" he nickered, head lifting to the bright blue sky twinkling through the trees. An orange and black butterfly flew by his nose, flapping the air with silent wings. His ears pricked forward as his gaze traveling after the butterfly, until they caught onto Sinner's. A slight, shy grin tugged at his mouth, so he looked away, feeling embarrassed.

Anna grinned up at Kae'ouit, the breeze tickling her ears. Flicking them with irritation, she looked the two equids over carefully. A smile creeped onto her face, despite her wanted aura of toughness. She let her guard down for a moment as she listened to them speak. The mare could almost tell what the stallion was thinking, just by reading his face. She raised her head slightly, her eyes sparkling with a challenge but her expression kind and warm. "You two, basically. What brought you here? I had been in the forest, lost.." she began, a hint of embarrassment in her voice before she continued. "And then I saw Kae'ouit." she nickered, ending her sentence abruptly. The wind from the shore picked up and blew her tail back and forth, sparking an interest in the chocolate-colored mare. She turned her head towards it, a salty taste and scent making her eyes water slightly. However much she disliked the smell of the ocean, the blue waves seemed to be calling her... Anna snapped her attention back to the two equids, and shifted her weight.
