Silverpaw laughed, then leaned forward and licked Rushpaw between the ears. She smiled and flicked her tail, going back to her prey, a mouse. She grabbed it with her teeth.

Snowheart tilted her head. "I don't see why it matters if theres a fox or not. Whats the big deal?" She said, looking at him.

"Okay. I will repeat.
Foxes are dangerous. They kill any cat they can lay a paw on. First they rip your claws out, then they rip your legs off, and THEN they eat you! They might skip those ripping parts and just eat you whole! They are 5 times the size of me, and they are VERY dangerous. I just don't want to see any cat get hurt if we can......well.........stop the fox before anything happens."

Snowsky raced through the forest and found Ashkit. "oh, oh little one." she raced to him and coovered him in licks. His fur was matted in blood and there was along scratch on his side. His paw was broken.

"My leg hurts!" he wailed.

"Shh, shh, Mommy's here, Mommy's here." she comforted him and the lifted him up.

Firestripe was walking back to camp happily when he smelled blood mixed with Snowsky's and Ashkit's scents. He ran forward. "What happened?!" he gasped when he saw Ashkit.
