"W-what happened to you?" She asked, her eyes drifting to the blood matted into the kit's fur. "On second thoughts, don't answer that." She bent down, so she was level with the kit's face and licked a spot of blood off of his nose. "What's your name, sweetie?" She said gently. "I'm Willowpaw." She stood up slowly and waited for an answer, her brow furrowing at the thought of what this kit might have gone through. She looked closer at the scratches and suddenly, her eyes flashed open. "It was a fox, wasn't it?" She gulped, trembling a little and taking in the probably broken back leg. "Wasn't it?"

Fall:

Fall looked at her, his pale colored eyes searching for any sign of threat or danger. His eyes squeezed shut as he waited for the unthinkable to happen as Williwpaws went to lick his nose clean. Slowly, in shock, Fall opened his eyes after her tongue cleaned a drop of blood off of his nose. His only interaction with other cats was watching his mother fight with them, Williwpaws action truly confused the kit. "Fall." He said in a soft whisper, answering her question regarding his name. His ears flattened at the mention of the word fox, turning his head and eyes away from her.

Willowpaw nudged his face gently. "It's okay. You don't have to tell me." She said softly. "I'm friendly, I promise." She said, avoiding the words fox, bite and mother. She looked at the kit, frowning slightly. "We need to get you somewhere warmer. Could I pick you up and take you back to my camp? Or do you want to stay here for a bit longer, I can catch you something to eat, if you eat prey yet?"

Fall:

He looked at her through the corner of his blue-green eyes, listening as she spoke. He watched as her face took on a frown before looking away. part of him knew he needed help, but also part of him was stubbornly telling him he's fine on his own. Afterall, his mom was on her own and she constantly told stories of her solo adventures to him to pass the time. "I don't care." The first words that crossed his mind seemed to flow from his jaws before any kind of filter stopped them. His look was stubborn, just lightly over the rest of his emotion and look. He wasn't going to say anything about whether he could eat prey or not until his stomach rudely butted in it's opinion with a soft rummbling growl. "I can eat prey." He muttered softly, his eyes turning towards her.

Willowpaw stalked off, like she was just going to leave him there, then returned a few minutes later with a fat dormouse, still warm from being freshly-killed. She pushed it towrds the kit, not caring if he was grateful or not. She sat down once she pushed it over and looked up into the sky, everything above her reflecting on her beautiful green-grey, all-seeing eyes. She had the kind of eyes that you kind can see into your soul, see all your sins and regrets.
Everything.

Fall:

He watched her leave, expecting her not to return. He was already trying to figure out how to get himself back to his paws when Willowpaw returned with a dormouse in her jaws. After she pushed it to him, his appetite took presence over his manners as he bit into it. His clouded eye facing Willowpaw as he ate, the starving kit eating it as if it was the last piece of food he would ever get. Once a little bit over half of the mouse was gone, Fall pushed it towards her with a forepaw. "thanks.." He said softly, givin her the rest of the mouse.

~Honeypaw~

Honeypaw walks over the the little ditch she made in the ground earlier on, she had been storing her fresh kill in there. She picks up the brown sparrow she caught earlier on which took her some time along with the small field mouse. Honeypaw flicks her ear a bit, slightly catching sounds of other cats. She blinks wondering what was going on but since she was carrying fresh kill her goal was to first return home to leave the fresh kill before anything else. Honeypaw dashes back home, almost tripping over the fresh kill which hung in her mouth as she ran. She almost runs into the fresh kill pile, quickly dropping the prey she caught into the pile Honeypaw runs towards the nursery. She peeks her head in to see if the kits were around, from her mouth hung a long feather she plucked off the sparrow.

"It's okay." She said, shaking her head at the offer of the rest of the mouse. "I already ate." She sat in silence with the kit for a while, before opening her mouth to speak. She then thought better of it and closed her mouth again. The silky cream she-cat thought over what to do with Fall in her head, then deciding to take him back to camp. "C'mon." She said softly, getting up and taking a few steps forward, then waiting for him.

Fall:

The black and ginger tom looked at the mouse for a moment after Willowpaw turned the remainder of the mouse down. Slowly, he ate the rest of the dormouse, the silence around him tinging with tension. As the time passed, Fall hesitantly began licking the dried blood off of his forepaws, keeping completely silent. His eyes flickered up briefly as the cream colored cat got to her paws, his ears flicking as she spoke. He laid there for a bit before, with effort, he slowly pushed himself up onto his shaking three paws and followed her, limping a mouse length or two behind her.

Willowpaw walked slowly, to keep the same pace as the little black-and-ginger tom. She tried to avoid eye contact with him, her ears flattened to the top of her head, in an attempt to ignore the pain he was in. Her own legs were trembling. The sooner they got back to camp, the better. She thought. "Here's the camp." She said, approaching the clan living space.
