((Okay~ :3 And great! =D ))

I am awakened by the soft singing of the birds high up in the bright green trees I lie under, my eyes flicker open, and I raise my golden head slightly, vision blurred. As always, the first thought that runs through my mind is, where am I? But I quickly collect my thoughts, before I go into some sort of panic.
Bright sunlight beats down onto the bright, colourful land in front of me, and as I look up to the sky, I notice that there is not a single cloud in the deep blue sky. I smile to myself, looks like we are in for another gorgeous day.
I stand slowly, not in a rush, as why rush when everything you need is laid out in front of you? I walk forward, my golden coat gleaming in the bright sunlight, my short mane bouncing merrily as I move. I walk forward, the delicious smells from the various plants and fruits making my mouth water. This is the hardest part; choosing what to eat first. There is so much to choose from! So many different smells and colours, I would eat them all if I could.
I wander around the bright plants, letting myself be drawn to any particular one. I find myself drifting towards a bright yellow flower, and without hesitation, I take the plant in my mouth, pulls it and chews quickly, enjoying the sour, sweet taste. I shake my mane, not satisfied, but figuring I could easily find a patch of grass to graze from later. I break into a smooth canter, my strides long and relaxed. I take in the fresh morning scent with my wide nostrils, and I whinny joyfully, the neigh echoing softly into the air.
I slow to a trot when I reach my destination; the lake. I smile as I approach the twinkling blue water, the scent refreshing me. I stop in front of the lake and I bend my head down, taking a long drink, although a long drink isn't necessary. Within a few swallows I feel as if I drank a few litres, so I raise my head, water dripping from my muzzle. I walk away from the pond and chooses some grass to graze on, my tail swishing against my sides happily, life really couldn't get better than this.

I pick my way through the dead mess of twigs and bushes, my eyes bright and alert. I have been awake for a while now, and has been searching around this place for something to eat. I don't really fancy eating dead twigs right now, I'm not quite that desperate. I yawn widely, having had another restless sleep, being disturbed by the quiet howls from the predators that lurks around these areas. Why can't they go over to the Light side? There are a lot more healthy horses there than here. If they are not searching for horses to eat, then they can go over there to scare them all, make them suffer. Bet they'd love that, they probably haven't even heard of the word suffer.
I shake my black mane, and almost stumbles over a large branch. I stop myself just in time, and violently kicks it out of the way, ears flat. I look around me, only seeing the horrible dead look of the bushes and twigs and whatever else is dying here. Even though the sky is blue and the sun is shining, this place still looks gloomy as ever, the gloominess matching my dark mood.
My eyes suddenly catches something as I walk on, and I halt, seeing a few dying leaves on a twig. That'll do, I think to myself as I stretch my neck over to snatch them from the twig. I chew quickly, quite used to the blunt taste of dying leaves. Within a few seconds the branch is bare like all the others. I snort and breaks into a trot, picking my knees up high so I don't end up tripping over the dead plants. I see a few trees ahead, and although they are bare like everything else, I still drift towards it, figuring there may be some food near it. The pitiful thin trees almost seem to be crippled over, as if struggling to stand up tall and proud like they were supposed to. Not very good shade at all, the shadow is tiny.
I sniff the floor under the tree, managing to find a few leaves here and there. I take them and eats them, taking two bites them swallowing. I can't afford to take my time chewing stuff when there could be another animal nearby competing with me to find food.
Despite my protesting stomach, I stay where I am, leaning awkwardly on the tree, looking around me. In the distance I see the tall buildings from the city, and my ears perk. I guess I'll visit that place later, last time I went there I found a blade of grass in the middle, maybe the grass might have grown back by now. For now, however, I am content in just standing here, resting.
