Kappa blinked. What was up with him!? One second they were chatting like best friends, and the next he had glared at her like she was an enemy! She shook her head. Oh well, who needed him?! Annoyed, Kappa burst into the sky, enjoying the breeze against her dusky wings.

Kappa buzzed through the woods, still irritated with Shade. How could he have been so two-faced with me? she sighed, and flapped harder through the forest. With a powerful shriek, she sung out an echo that bounced off the trees and earth. Silvery pictures painted themselves in her mind's eye and, with her echo vision to guide her, she searched for a nice place to rest. Finally, she came across a aged oak tree. Little did she know that this was the exact tree that belonged to another bat named Felix. She slipped through a hole and roosted in the comfy tree.

Felix twirled himself in the air, his nose filled with the crisp air. Letting his wings stretch out again he sent out a shriek, veering to the left he dodged a tree. Shrieking again he caught the sound of a tiger mith's wing. Shivering with excitement he dove towards it, shrilling every once and a while. The moth twisted, trying to lose him. Flapping harder ge stretched out his neck and clamped down on it's wing.

Kappa crawled deeper into Felix's tree, enjoying the nice warmth. I should rest up here for awhile. It's much better then the cool outside air, She neatly folded her wings and closed her eyes, letting her echo vision dissolve around her.

Felix chewed on the moth and headed back towards his tree. He perched on the branch and shrieked,the esccence of a bat came bat at him and he poked his head in the opened. "H-Hello."

Kappa stiffened. "Erm, why are you here?" she squeaked cautiously. In a more defensive tone, the Brightwing added, "I was here first, you know."

Felix tilted his head and spread out his wings in a defensive matter. "I was always here, this is my home." His voice was humble and soft. His bright eyes looked at the ground as he spoke, the young bat was shy. Bringing his wings closer to his body he tilted his head and looked at her. She was not a big threat nor did she looked like one. Big surprises come in small packages. That was what his old friend, Gambo, used to tell him so he kept on his toes ready for any violence.

"Oh," Kappa replied, feeling a bit embarrassed. "Erm... sorry," She shuffled her wings. "So... who are you? I'm Kappa Brightwing."
