Finaly safe [animal rp]

Nightshade nodded slight to the lioness, and watched rather bitterly as she took her place next to Twopelts. As it should be. She thought, having to remind herself. "He- He was shot by the man." She answered Camolot and waited patiently for him to leave before she left the cave herself. There she waited again for a moment before leaping off the cliff face and left for the woods, silent as a mouse.

Then Twopelts stired agein and his eyes shot open as Nightshades scent fell stale. He stood up sudenly and looked around wildly,"Were is she!?" he hissed to the lioness but then shook his head and lunged out of the cave as if he didn't have a wound,"Nightshade!!!" he raored and jumped from the cliff and stared to serch for her. His mouth opened wide to catch every scent he could of her.

The black killer stopped, her ears flitting back as she listened intently. A sigh escaped her maw, and she looked down upon the ground. What was she going to do? Surely she could not just keep going. He might keep searching and mess up his shoulder even more. So what to do? Lie of course, lie like the genious you are. Nightshade didn't like lies, but sometimes they were simply needed. She turned and began to walk back toward the lion, a scheme already in mind. She stopped though, at another sound; one like thunder. Nightshade turned her head and watched the stallion galloping through the woods with ease, and she rolled her eyes. She was getting tired of meeting new people. It was all too much. Still she sat down calmly and waited for the horse to come to a stop before her as she expected.
"Wow that is one big cat." The stallion laughed, his voice deep but calm.
"Yes, I'd say bigger than your average farm cat." Nightshade replied, though left the humor out of her voice.
"Farm? Oh, I'm not a farm horse, I'm wild as you are." He responded with a smile.
"Wild as me?" She smirked, rather amused. "I highly doubt that."

Twopelts bolted into the forest after her scent as his shoulder begain to throb and blood begain to drip down his shoulder agein. He cringed but ran on but then sudenly the world begain to go black around him,No!, he thought as the world went jet black and his paws fell out from under him,"Nightshade!" he called with all he had left but then he fell silent, passed out from lack of blood.

The black cat turned and the horse watched her curiously.
"So your name is Nightshade then?" THe large animal asked, rather amused.
"Yeah." She answered sharply, waiting to see the lion come up. But he didn't. She stood now, and tried to ignore the fact that the horse was still watching. She started forward, followed closely behind by the large gray equine, and almost exploded into a run when she saw him laying on the ground. "Twopelts! Twopelts wake up!" She howled, nudging her head against his, and trying to wake him.
"Mate of yours?" The horse asked, standing back to enjoy the show.
"No! Just a friend!" She shouted absent minded responces as she kept trying to wake him. The panther started pulling on his ears and legs, panic beginning to show in her eyes. "Wake up Twopelts! Wake up!" She cried out, pushing him again with her forehead.
"He's out cold cat. Doesn't look too serious though. He'll make it." The stallion spoke with a rather knolegable tone. The black panther hesitated, then lay down next to him, her right paw laying across his stumach below the shoulder. The horse snorted a laugh, but she ignored him and started to lick the wound again.
"You care to take that answer back?" He asked, only recieving a sharp yowl of warning.

Twopelts maoned and but that was all he could get out as Nightshade's voice echoed in his mind, shes woried., he thought, trying to wake himself but he couldn't move from this fuzzy state. He breathed deaply and cringed now and then as the pain in his shoulder pulsed down his spin. Finaly the bleed ing stoped and his body slowly started to responed to him telling it to,"Why did you leave, Nightshade?" he rasped, his voice soft and weak.

Nightshade turned her face quickly, a smile creasing her maw. She moved so that she could reach his face, and started to lick his cheeck and maw.
"Aw, how cute." The horse jeered, laughing as she hissed at him again. This horse was beginning to become a bother. She returned to licking the lion, and ignored the horses' laughter. His question shook her slightly, reminding her of what she had been planning.
"I-I was going hunting." She responded in a lie. The horse looked a little taken back, his ears flitting against his skull.
"You weren't planning on hunting me were you?" He snorted, pawing at the ground.
"No." She responded again absently between licks.

Twopelts opened one eye and gazed at her,"No...you were leaving wern't you?" he said with a weak knowing of how the she-cat wanted to leave. His eye closed agein and then slowly pushed himself off his side and to his stomach.

Nightshade moved away and let him onto his stomach. She lay next to him again and licked his jaw, and then one of his paws over and over. Anything to convince him she wasn't leaving. The panther didn't know much about him, but she was afraid of what he would do if she told him she was leaving.
"No, I was not." She lied again.
"Sure you weren't. I wouldn't believe her. She's lied to me already." The horse smirked.
"Lied to you about what?" Nightshade hissed, her ears laying back.
"Oh you know the-" And this was about where she figured out what he ment, and launched into the air, tackling into him.
"Do you want me to hunt you!" She howled, batting at him with a powerful paw. He juped out of the way, a sharp whistling sound passing his mug.
"Haha! The game is afoot!" He called, excited. She stared at him a moment, then returned to the lion.
"I said no, I meant no, and I am not lieing." The black cat growled at the horse.

Twopelts sighed and licked her gently,"I know...buts that what I think when I wake up and your not there and that Loiness is in your place." he said slowly and then glared at the horse,"Shut-up you idiot! You wern't the one who got shot in the shouldr!" he snaraled and drew back his lip to expose his long fangs.

Muertes listened to the lion speak, a sort of understanding forming. No indeed they were not mates. Of course not. And she must have been escaping to give the lioness her rightful place. He smiled slightly again, walking up closer to the two cats.
"What a noble cat, what a noble killer." He started, ignoring the idiot comment. "Following the laws of nature. I'd leave too if I were you." Of course... He couldn't see how he would be stuck in the same situation. A horse was a horse was a horse. Nightshade looked down at the ground, rubbing her neck against his like she was trying to hide away from the truth. Even he could see it. Even this horse could understand why she had to leave. But would the lion ever? And did she even want to? Ignorence is bliss...
