"Cool," the two said at the same time. "Lets sneak out now!" Thornkit had a secret crush on fernkit, now was his time to impress her

Fernkit nodded and vanished into the grass.

Foxkit followed her.

Fernkit crept down, belly low to the ground, silver tail swishing behind her. She sniffed the air, hoping she was doing this right.

Rainkit saw her brother and sister leave. She silently followed the kits.

Fernkit frowned. Where was the border, anyways?

Mistykit opened her two different colored eyes, and she noticed that Fernkit, Foxkit, and a few of the other kits were gone. She followed their scent trail.

Redkit put his head down in mourning, as did Stonekit, his brother. Jaypaw, Tigerpaw, Minnowpaw, and Sandpaw all put their heads down in mourning with their mother, and touched their nose to Riverstar's fast cooling pelt one last time.
Mossflower had tears pouring out of her eyes as she put fresh-smelling herbs like Rosemary, thyme, and mint around her to chase away the scent of Death.

A single tear trickled down Tigerfrost's cheek. He couldn't believe this was really happening...

Foxkit just kept walking, hoping he was going in the right direction.

Fernkit turned her head. "I...I just realized something: since Lakeclan is stealing our prey, is that why Riverstar couldn't fight off the greencough? Is it their fault she is dead?"
