Spiritkit looked at her dad with wide eyes. she nuzzled his foot. "She's happier now." she said sweetly

Hawkfeather nodded. "I know, Spiritkit..." He curled his tail around the kits.

Spiritkit was the only one not crying, she was tougher than her brothers

Hawkfeather looked up at the sky solemnly.

Fernkit and Badgerkit looked around and bowed their heads, mourning silently for their leader.

Foxkit mourned for a moment then ran up to Fernkit "Now's the perfect time, everybody is too busy mourning to notice. We can show lakeclan we are not weak because we have lost our leader"

Moonleap and Riverheart had brought riverstars body out in the clearing.

Brightpaw came out and looked at her leader. She would sit vigil tonight with her brothers and sisters.

Fernkit opened her mouth slightly, thinking for a moment to protest, then nodded, although she honestly felt bad about it.

Thornkit snuck away from his family after he overheard Fernkit and Foxkit. "Can I come to?" he whispered.
